I always get the drinking package, there is no other things to do on the boat except Drinking and eating xD

Hi. Just watched your videos from the cruise. I'm going on the same cruise in March & it will be our first ever (& most probably) only cruise. We have bought the non alcoholic drinks package & the excursion to Paris as we're treating it as a holiday of a lifetime cause we're not blessed with big bank balances.

We just got back from that cruise. I would not recommend getting the Paris or London excursion. On our cruise, we did not stop at Le Havre because there was a strike in France. However, the Paris excursion is similar to the London Tower excursion. We spent 7.5 hours in a bus going from Southhampton to London, got to spend 2 hours at the Tower, then 50 minutes in Coventry Square then back on the bus. Paris is going to be similar.
If you really want to see Paris, understand that the cruise is basically a jitney bus that embarks and disembarks in Hamburg, Rotterdam, Zeebrugee, LeHavre and SouthHampton. It might be better to start your cruise in Paris, get there a couple of days early, board in LeHavre, and then disembark in LeHavre. For us, we started in Hamburg and we probably should have started in SouthHampton, and just gotten to London a few days earlier to see what we wanted to see.
In regards to the drink packages, the non-alcoholic does NOT cover the Cafe (Chocolate Cafe.) We did not get any drink packages. My wife had 4 drinks over the 7 days on the cruise. I had two Coca-Cola's. We filled our water bottles at the buffet and then when off board, got coffees or sodas. This may not mean anything to you, but it is something to consider: The ONLY iced tea there is, is Lipton out of the fountain (aka a drink package drink) that is lemon flavored. There is no other iced tea at all. This was hard for a person from the south! I did drink a LOT of hot tea though.
When you get to Hamburg, we found the best mode of transportation to be renting a scooter (Lime.) It was 6 euros for 3 hours. It gets around a LOT of places. For Zeeburgee, what we did was take the bus to the city center. They drop you off across the street from the train center. We took the train to Brugge. As soon as you get out of the train station, you can get on a bus. We were dumb and got off at the wrong exit, but that just meant we walked more. The city is a very circular and you want to get to the center. So get on the bus with the direction called Centrum and then tell the driver you want off at market square. That was significantly less in cost than doing the excursion. We were able to have belgium waffles, in Belgium on our schedule. The excursion, which we ran into, was a bunch of people being herded around with radios and headsets to listen to the tour guide.
One thing I would seriously suggest, find the most comfortable pair of shoes you have and wear those. Bruge and London both have cobblestone streets and there is nothing smooth about it.
I am not sure if you are aware that the MSC will do tier matching. We are Hilton Diamond members. We sent in proof to MSC of our status and now we are diamond MSC. They will match various car/hotel/airline levels. One of the nice benefits of Diamond is a free meal in a speciality restaurant. We used it at the steak shop. It included everything but the drinks. If you do get the specialty restaurant package, at least in the steakhouse it is a limited menu. People love to complain about this. Actually, it is fair! At the steakhouse, they have a tomahawk steak for 98 euros. You should not be able to buy that for the ~30 euros in the package. So for things that they feel are above and beyond, if you get the package, what they do is discount those items 50%. So you can get the package, and then the tomahawk is 49.
Hope all of this helps. For us, we like the cruise line. We are planning more cruises with them and will be Yacht Club only. In our eyes, if you want to do every excursion, then the inside cabin in yacht club makes a LOT of sense. You get premium drinks, free wifi, a butler, reserved seating in shows, and your own pool deck, restaurant and lounge!

Great information points thank you so much! Was it easy to book the shuttle bus on the ship or did you book them before you set sail? You have both increased our excitement about our Cruise next month. No ballgowns for me but I have got a nice dress haha. Gorgeous dog btw x

This is a VERY SERIOUS point about the excursions! Seriously, do not try and do anything last minute. MSC does a terrible job of removing things that are sold out from the APP or the TV. We tried to book things on the APP, it would give error messages. No, it would not say that it was sold out, just an error and to try again. So to make sure that you can get the excursion, get off your butt and go down to deck 6 or 5 and talk to them and do it. IIRC they close at 10pm.
Even the tickets that are put in your room for the bus, you can't just fill them out and bring them down in the morning when you disembark. You have to bring that down to the desk the night before!
Very easy! If you forget them, they even bring you a self fill out ticket the night before!
Aha! No ballgowns for us! I just brought 3 nice ISH dresses and only worn 1 😆

Both indoor and outdoor jacuzzis are heated!
Passports don’t need to be kept with you! (You get a card that you need to carry with you instead which is also how you pay and your cabin keycard)

I've just booked a cruise on the Euribia. We're paying £33.50 per person per day. 😁 I don't know how that compares to the deal that you got?
I'd rather go on 2 "bare bones" MSC cruises than 1 more fancy cruise for the same price.
We intend walking / using the local public transport for port days.
We paid 798pound together for the 7 days. It is honestly one of the best experiences ever, We hope you enjoy. Feel free to ask any questions you may have❤

I like your positivity and the way that you seemed to do your own thing in your own way on this cruise. EG using the horseshoe pool on cold days.

We had a great holiday aboard the Euribia.
I don't think you have a choice to not go to Hamburg on Sunday unless you don't go on that itinerary. How do you make sure shops are open...
It was more of the fact we payed for the coach and pretty much everyone said it wasn’t worth it so we was just explaining our experience as we would of rather stayed on the ship ☺️
