    hey, thanks for your video, but I am curious that once it's done where do we upload the reality file, and how do we make it interactive with audiences in the same site as in how do you launch it? because it seems like we just can interact with the creator, and only can record a video to share, right?

    Is there a way to have this animation come up when triggered by a certain graphic? For instance, if I created beverage packaging for a client, could I have an animation trigger if the packaging is scanned? I’m assuming you need a QR code or something?

    If you set your material in C4D "Color>texture>layer" You can't export as an FBX?
    They just turn white?

    so great! it seem to be exported via FBX file that make interaction more better.

      Very welcome! Keep in mind you don't need to buy an iPad Pro to take advantage of this feature, any of the iPads created in the last couple years can do this!

    How can I do AR like that to get an QR-Code, to send it to a customer/Endconsumer, so he can watch it? Without AERO!

    Do you have to animate with bones? I just did a simple squash and stretch on an object but the animation didn't seem to come through along with any color i applied. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!!

    so i came here to learn how to make an asset with baked textures/ animation and save it as .USDZ for iOS. appreciate any help. great tutorial regardless as always EJ

    Thanks for the tutorial. But other than recording a screencast are there any other options with the different export settings to somehow directly publish the experience for social media. For commercial projects this would be crucial.

    • @fernsehdesign
      @fernsehdesign 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Daniel Partzsch ... On iPhone 8 the recorded preview looks like a jpeg from last century... unusable. So I have to do screenrecording. But then Th recordbutton is in the way... Hope Adobe recognizes this and makes it a more serious tool.

    This is kind of a general question, but when you bake a material, are you just re-applying the baked material and then the shaders will come out when exported? Or does retexturing happen in the software you import the model into? (in this case, I don't know if Aero has a texturing component, but thought I'd ask if that's how it normally works). Baking is very confusing concept to me.

  • @blackout1111

    Do you have to use Adobe’s link to their tool to use the AR data or can you use the data from Aero to create your own AR tool?

  • @jeremynelson7215

    This is beyond clutch! I've been experimenting with Aero but hitting the wall with parts of models & textures not coming through properly. The poly count limits & restrictions on texture channels are the "gottcha's" I've been running into. Huge thanks for putting this together!
    Any insight on whether or not other channels (ie. bump/normal/luminosity) will be available soon?
    Thanks again!

    • @eyedesyn
      @eyedesyn 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the kind words! Yeah you need to be aware of a few things or your animations come in all janky! The whole limit of 6 weights per vertices definitely threw me for a loop awhile back! Not sure when all those things will be added but I hope soon! Stay tuned and thanks for watching!

      @@eyedesyn Jenky to the max!! I had parts of my model flickering, others MIA, and no tex - much improved already but the colors look a little flat, almost like CMYK vs RGB. Probably just the way Aero renders things. Like you said in the vid though - I think this is going to be a game-changer for motion designers who have steered clear of AR because of the technical complexity.

    Hi, was curious if I’m missing something because my materials won’t show up on Aero. I’m using Octane Render and Materials. Any help would be appreciated 🙏🏽

    • @eyedesyn
      @eyedesyn 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately Octane Materials aren't supported - you have to use standard materials as I mentioned in the tutorial! :)

  • @arashmazinani

    Massive thanks for this. I'm a cinema 4D noob and managed to get an animated CAD model into Aero and working.
    But I've got a 'too many meshes' error message with some models despite them being under the 130k polygon limit.
    Is there a limit to the number of meshes you can have in an object?

    Hi Ej. For animation, do you have to do a rig or can you just do simple keyframe animations. When I import the files into Aero, it doesn't play out. Thanks

    • @JamalQutub
      @JamalQutub 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      PSR Animations are supported as well. Animations don't auto-play. You need to select your placed animated object and add a Behavior. For Behavior > +Trigger > Tap Action > Animate (In Animate window you can preview your Animation).

    • @leonnikoo
      @leonnikoo 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JamalQutub Yes, super weird. Tried a few things and its not working. I have only done really simple animations too! Can't figure it out. When I try to trigger the animations, nothing drops down like Ej's. Confused about this.

    Great tutorial! The FBX export seems to handle rigged animations perfectly compared to GLTF(GLB) export. Although the GLTF supports PBR textured objects better. Ah well, the infancy of this sort of thing I guess.
