Side hits can change, especially with snow and thaw. Just because you were sessioning it last week doesn't mean it has the same take off or tranny angle. Always scope it and give it an easy test send at first.
Due to an injury this summer I can’t snowboard until spring, this video so far has made me want to snowboard the most from anything I’ve seen, it’s my favorite thing in the world and I love your videos, they’ve helped me a bunch and I can’t wait to hit the slopes and try all the new tricks and tips I learn from you

My best teacher, I did not subscribe the shred school but your vids gives me a lot of valuable knowledge, how to turn, how to ride a switch, how to hit a jumps. Your videos always get me pumped to go riding and push my limits
we have a park thats pretty good but its only massive jumps and rails(i know how to hit them but my friends cant) and out whole mountain is like 30 sec long from top to bottom so we have 00000 side hits but a pretty good off pist wood/freeride section but its extremely dangereous and fun but its hard to hit tricks on.
A side hit took my soul on the first day out this year. Came back to stomp one later on though🤙
just bought a burton flying V, can't wait to take it for a spin and try these tricks.

Tote road on Sugarloaf Mountain in Maine has some of the best roller hits on the East Coast unfortunately there's always groups of skiers standing halfway across the trail :-)
And the best thing about side hits - when its good pow, you can really go fullsend on them and not worry about getting wrecked

I dont know if it counts as side hits, but early season at loon (im guessing any mountain that also has mountain biking as similar things) but it the trees with the mtb tracks are fun to ride on 🤫🤫
Something I would add about flatter landings, try to land on your tail and let the board aboard a little bit of the impact like a spring. Just don’t put too much on the board.
