Honestly, I think this map would be absolutely fantastic as a 40k map. It fits the lore brilliantly, with hordes of troops assaulting nigh-impregnable fortresses.

You should bombard the fort (randomly) before every wave.
That would add to the immersion and maybe prevent the AI from getting stuck

The fact that in reality during the attack on Sevastopol the germans actually did quite a good job with taking the fortress without major losses wich is quite unbelivable.
wtf? they suffered massive casuakties and bloody battles took months and (not really) years. soviet marines fought to last man against germans.

Idk why, maybe it's because the soldier animations are really good but, I really feel for these infantry charging in as if they're real!
I think what would've made this a closer battle is if there was a massive preliminary artillery bombardment that ended just as the Germans moved in infantry with heavy siege tank support like a strum tiger

battles like this should have diplex control the attackers indestructible forts with complex layouts make it hard for AI to navigate.

I think you should give the attackers in these types of videos more artillery support. It might give them a bit more of a chance. Furthermore, it seems improbable that an attack on this massive of a fortress would not have artillery support.
This is one situation where the Schartzer Gustav would have been a good choice

maybe the attackers should get a preparatory bombardment on the enemy defenses to soften them up before the first wave, or maybe some smoke at least to cover their approach.

I think a russian superfortress just has to be that big, it fits the Soviet image very well.
