- Which one would you buy? In this video we will compare the Traxxas Bigfoot and the Traxxas Stampede , what is actual different? Are they the same? You might be surprised by the subtle differences in this comparison video.

I bought Bigfoot a couple years ago, and still one of my favorites. I put a 2 speaker sound module in it and WoW. Little kids chase it until they can barely stand up and their parents just nod their approval. Then they ask where to get one...
I had a 4x4 Stampede I eventually sold, and the first mod I did to it was lowering the body. Huge improvement, but I agree, the Bigfoot looks right out of the box. Traxxas just added LEDS and dropped the price $30; I don't need one, but they might have pushed me over the line. Video's I watch of both driving, the Bigfoot just seems more capable and obviously looks more scale. I think the wheel/tire package plays a part with additional traction. Plenty of videos of people driving them in mud, snow, and up and down creeks surprisingly well.
You are right the Bigfoot looks better, just seems to fit the chassis right. I have the Craniac version that came out years ago, I have owned a Stampede but like the other tyres better.
Bigfoot. Better paint, better graphic design, better wheel design. The Stampede looks too busy and very tacky. An RC truck doesn't have to be called retro because it isn't ugly any more than something has to be ugly to be contemporary, but RC visual design is definitely in a hideous era which is why the simpler, better designed "retro" stuff sells. The Stampede's wheels looks like something on clearance from PepBoys, and the grey chassis doesn't look as weighted as the Bigfoot's black chassis. The one thing that'd be nice to have for the Bigfoot would be foam inserts like the Stampede has, but removable so you can tailor running characteristics and the appearance to your preference. I have a 2016 reissue Tamiya Blackfoot and love how it looks, but I think I might like how this Traxxas chassis drives far more. Great video! Thank you for these reviews!
For me it's the bigfoot no question. Thats what made me want to buy it was the bigfoot look . If it wasn't for that I never would have bought a stampede. That body style don't look good in my opinion
I love my Stampede, but I really want that Bigfoot body on it, lol.
Bigfoot wins on looks, but I’d be afraid to scratch or bust up that body! The stampede I wouldn’t care.

@@FatherandSonHavingFun I bought a Bigfoot and was really excited about it, but I ended up exchanging it for a last year Stampede VXL at a big discount. Between the Bigfoot and spare body I bought, I got a little money back so it was worth it. I’d still like to have that Bigfoot though! Brushless power has corrupted me, I bought a Rustler VXL on the same sale after driving the Stampede. Fast and fun!
I own two of the Bigfoot’s. Classic and the Red/White/Blue flame 🔥 version. Love them both. But part of the fun is getting your own clear bodies and painting them up however you want, as I also have a couple of the bodies Ive done myself as 79 Fords without the badging. The truck just looks awesome with that 79 body on it.
I'm not a ford fan but I would definitely choose the traxxas big foot. I hate it when traxxas paints their bodies with such horrible paint schemes. Especially when they paint the windows! Traxxas never learns.
My vote goes to the Bigfoot. Mainly for the epic tires and rims and body. Thanks for sharing and comparing. 👍👍

The tires look thicker on the big foot. I was going to get it but it’s only 2wd. I got the stampede 4x4 with the leds and a lipo 5800 battery and love it

Yeah I thought the same until I realized that the Bigfoot has a recessed antenna and black chassis not to mention the obvious wheel and tire combination on top of the body.

Personally I'd pick the Bigfoot, I like the black chassis and the recessed antenna. Plus the body is amazing. You can switch the Bigfoot and Stampede bodies because the have the same body post holes and are interchangeable.

A long time, I've had my xl-5's for over two years without issues. VXL is a different story...

For the same price, would you buy the slant 6 Barracuda, or the 4 speed hemi Cuda convertible? Someday the Bigfoot original will be super rare in mint condition and stampede bodies will be in the recycle bin.

Just from opinion but personally I like the stampede better it just has that traxxas look although the Bigfoot is sick
