I was 16 in 1969 & worked at a Texaco gas station in a small IN town. For many years I had the green short sleeve work shirts hanging in my closet. They had the Texaco patch & my name embroidered on them. Really good memories of my teens!
Looks awesome guy's, can't wait to see the inside. Brings back some memories from when I was growing up. Keep up the great work and I'm looking forward to your next video.
I was buying gas in the first part of 1973 for 25 cents a gallon. Then the "gas shortage" came along and went to 60 cents a gallon overnight. Those phone booths were still around till about 1990. Cell phones took over and nobody hardly used them anymore. Nice work on the little shed.
Awesome content, I've looked for your dad's channel. Is it on you tube or Facebook. If you can get it to me I would love it. Thanks for your hard work stan
those pumps were not necessarily taken out of service in the 50's I remember the gas war's from the mid 60's and gas was still 25 to 27 cents a gallon for regular and stayed that way tell the first gas shortage in 1973 the highest price I remember before the gas shortage was 35 cents a gallon for premium and that was thought to be high . If the old boys could see it now they would all be walking everywhere . shit I always said If gas ever hit 1 dollar a gallon I was going to stop driving it took me getting disabled to finally give up my truck at 1.80 cents a gallon for premium but that was 21 years ago now.
