I love it! I try to live by the 80/20 rule. Mostly natural fibers but still some pieces that I love but aren’t natural. More doable because perfection isn’t the point!
Loved the variety you got! I feel just as frustrated with outwear, but found out that they often do a non synthetic liner to keep moisture and wind from soaking in. Absolutely loved the wavy socks you found, I’ve been looking for that style forever!
I feel like the deep red shoes are going to stay in style way longer and be way easier to wear with different ‘fits than a pair of bright red Mary Janes.
I loved the red shoes. And everything else lol. But the treadmill for $40 US dollars??? Wow! That’s perfection! Talk about being at the right place at the right time lol❤
I love the red shoes too! Can't wait to take them out for a spin this week. And I know, the price of the treadmill was so lucky! It was $50 and I had a coupon 🙌
Right?! I feel like I work on a horse ranch or something 🐎😆 especially when I tuck it into the Men's jeans...I just put it together that I found the pants and the blouse in the Men's section 🙌
Just wanted to say that I love all of the items that you thrifted. I like how you are trying to go for more 'all natural' materials. Since the fingerless mittens were so pricey (yikes!), can you make your own pair?
Thanks for your comment. I am trying to move to natural fibers, but as you saw, it's a challenge. I WAS just looking at a free fingerless mitten pattern on Ravelry, so I think I will try my hand at making some! 🧤
So many good finds!! I think I liked the nightgown the most. Hard finding natural fiber sleepwear that is soft and comfortable. Side note I lol’d so many time these past few videos lol you’re so funny. Seems like you have a lot of different thrift stores where you’re at. We mostly have goodwill where I am and I’m just not a fan of them. I like the old school construction paper tags with fitting rooms!
I just washed the nightgown and i'm literally giddy to wear it to sleep tonight! oh my gosh, thanks for saying that i'm funny. Now I'm not the only person who thinks so 🤣 We do have loads of shops within a 30 mile radius, it's really nice! Goodwill is probably my least favorite because of the prices and no dressing rooms 😢
Several people have mentioned what a great find the treadmill was and I was nervous to even include it in my "haul" 😆 Thanks for sharing in my excitement!
I love the brown Nike hoodie, the linen button up shirt, and the black flowy top your sister ended up getting. I also loved the grandpa-esque SAS sandals and sheerling lined slippers. I so wish I could find footwear in my size like that at a thrift store! I'm a women's size 11, so finding footwear at all is hard. (And when I do, it's often too stretched out for my slim-ish foot.) Oh! Also, the red flats you did get look so adorable on you! They will be really cute with lots of different spring/summer outfits.
@@Mindfulmae Luckily, I've recently had some decent luck finding a couple of really good pairs on Poshmark for great prices! Some Doc Marten oxfords and some really cute Alegria mary janes. Both new and around $30 each, which I was thrilled to pay.
Buy a bar of lye soap it will take out all the stains whites you can use warn too hot water ,but with colors try a test area with cold water . My aunt always cooked her white under garments in and enamel pot but you only use it for the clothes never use it for food.
I LIVE finding socks at the thrift! Probably controversial lol but especially the thrifts that mostly old ladies donate too! I swear, they buy the best socks! And they’re donated in great condition! So I always check! You can tell bad/gross socks and which ones are completely safe 😉😉😉
i'm absolutely with you!! There is a thrift shop close to me that i call the "old lady thrift store" because i think a lot of older people donate there 😆🧦
You will be hard pressed to find a natural fiber lined wool coat. Mainly because the synthetic materials slide easily over whatever you are wearing. It’s a pretty standard practice. In those cases I do make the exception because it isn’t a sign of a poor quality product. It’s practicality. And, you won’t likely be wearing a wool coat next to skin.
That makes sense and is so true - I would be wearing a sweater or shirt underneath the coat and it will slide right on! Perhaps I will go back and get one of those then 😄 Thanks for your thoughts.
It is very very unlikely that you will find a wool or linen or cotton coat with a natural lining. Linings need to have a little slip to them so your arms can slide in. Silk is too fragile and too expensive to be used as a lining--but you might find it. Don't pass up a 100% wool or cotton item because of the lining being poly--that is the best thing to use as a liner. Really.
Someone else commented something very similar and I had never thought of it, but I totally get it now! Good info, thank you! ✨ I will be more open next time I find a wool or leather coat!
My fav find is definitely the Men's denim shirt! What's yours? ✨

This is so good. I'm going to remember this.

Yes with the outerwear! It felt frustrating, but after reading some of the comments on this video, it makes sense why they line them with polyester 😆

Thanks! I agree!

My fave was the light cream colored shirt you found in the men’s section- has great artsy, workwear, craftswoman vibes!

Tahani is one of the most sought after brands right now . I hope you snatched that .
I believe my sister bought it!

I LOVE the denim shirt AND the shoes! Were you surprised to see my shoutout? 😆

The sweater with the bell sleeves is AMAZING even with the synthetic materials

Sounds like we have similar style!!✨ I'm sorry you can't easily find footwear in your size and particular foot shape- that's frustrating! 😓

I also thrifted a treadmill for $40 this past fall! Haha the best! 🙌🏼
YES! So good! it snows here in idaho, so it has been a dream to be able to walk inside! ❄🚶♀
You always do so well on your trips!
And a bonus treadmill, yes!!! 😂

I had some luck for sure! The treadmill was the cherry on top! 🤩
Buy Darn tough socks.. wool. About 20-26$ per pair but lifetime guaranteed. They will replace for free if a hole does happen.
This is what I need! I almost asked if anyone had a solid sock recommendation - thank you!! 🧦

As a gal 4 years into my natural fiber journey I agree with this! 🤎
@ I definitely see the merit of the lining now! 🙌
