      This case should've been tried in Brentwood, where the crime occurred, and where O.J. Simpson would've been judged by a jury of his peers. Gil Garcetti used his muscle to move it downtown. At that point, it was no longer about murder and escalating domestic violence, and O. J. Simpson was home free.

      Marcia Clark is very intelligent and a great prosecutor and she won countless murder cases.
      The jury in the OJ criminal trial were really stupid and biased and it never even mattered that they had tons of strong evidence of OJ's guilt.
      Thankfully the civil court trial where he testified and badly, that jury was very sensible and found him responsible for the brutal insane murders of poor Nicole and Ronald.

I should go back and watch because I’d like to see judge Ito in action again, since I’ve been more educated on how the courtroom works by watching many trials after that. The evidence was so strong against OJ and I was flabbergasted by the verdict. A couple of years after the trial I was going thru some photos I had and found one that had Kato in it! It was from 1986 when my friend celebrated her 25th birthday at the Bicycle Bombay restaurant in Burbank California. He was our waiter wearing and black and white striped shirt. Crazy.

  • @bigusdallastexamas5740
    @bigusdallastexamas5740 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    IMHO the case was lost in large part to the prosecution trying to paint an extremely specific chain of events. When inconsistencies arose it allowed the defense to pull at that thread and unravel the trust in the entire case being presented by the prosecution. Add to that the obvious chain of custody issues surrounding the vial of blood taken from OJ. The volume drawn wasn't documented and it was inexplicably allowed to remain in the wild four several hours before finally being entered into the lockup as evidence. Again giving the jurors a reason to doubt the validity of all blood evidence. State may have won the case if they were facing lesser council, but the "dream team" put up a seriously compelling defense. To this day we all know the phrase "If the glove don't fit, you must acquit".

      Does DNA in a hot car magically turn DNA into the victims and Simpson's DNA. Most of the discrediting of forensic evidence was like this, yes procedural errors, but not significant to the results.
      What was far more damaging was the allegations of police planting evidence. The defense made these allegations based on emotion and speculation, not proof. If there was proof OJ could have sued the police for violation his rights.

That's why she changed her hair style in the middle of the case because of the media attention, then later the media published topless photos of her. That's what happens when you give the media attention, you shift the attention from the defendant to yourself. That behavior is NOT what anyone would want from a laywer.
