Cloud has a lot of musicality and originality. But I don't want to take away from Neguin, that dude has a lot of his own style as well as a diverse vocabulary of moves. Props to both. Really fun battle.
Neguin killed it with an extremely solid foundation and good musicality. But I prefer Cloud because he shows that the best way to be a great bboy is to be a great dancer, he incorporates elements from jazz, modern, vouging (without making it look gay), and possibly a little ballet. All these added together equals incredibly crisp and clean movements that are one with the music and original as hell. And that's why Cloud is my favorite bboy
Probably my favorite battle of the night. Neguin was probably the strongest foundation bboy of the comp. All his moves are mad clean, but the judges probably wanted more individuality, hence Cloud stylin' his way to the finals.
Here's a link that I think u may find interesting... the reason a lot of dancers don't see this as a dance is because of what the media and ppl have been feeding in to their heads since they were kids And I must say i agree mostly with your look on Do-Knock and Cloud. Cloud dances hard in his footwork and his toprock... the thing I was talking about is that I don't see a lot of flow in between... he sort of gets down does a couple of dope moves... gets back up again
Really? I'm not, hahaha. Cloud has been around for a while. I'm actually surprised that he didn't get invited to the first BC One. Nonetheless, Cloud SHOULD have won this one if his final rounds were a bit better, LOL. No offense at all too Cloud, but it seemed like he ran out of stuff when he battled Lilou.
i just love how most of clouds moves arent like copied. Like there completely his own. Well in this video he did like a headspin and windmills and jackhammers but u dont often see that from him. Its like he can do them but he chooses not to.
B.Boy neguim example of humble person and dedicada,eu participated in your class and I adored ,valeu for the class.....Red Bull BC One is thart oh that you spoke to us in the day .....For people you are the best and more complete B.Boy ......Congratulations............
the original essence of bboying is espression and innovation. When it all started how do you they hit the beat? there weren't any moves, so they picked some from sports, martial arts, other dances and mixed with their own way of style and expression. This was why bboying started, they wanted to do something new and express themselves through dance to avoid conflits and fear of those times. i think Cloud put that essence back into his own style of bboying, not doing only previous bboys' styles.
@Mo0m0oSaZn Cloud was on a 4 year tour with Madonna, so in the time he wasn't on tour he was at little jams etc. This year is the first year i've properly seen skill methodz come out internationally (they won UK Champs this year and also Cloud got to the finals here)
Cloud is almost like a bruce lee of bboying. Bruce lee does the art of fighting without fighting. Cloud does the art of dancing without dancing. What I mean by that is he makes it look so easy and natural like he's just going with the flow. I love it!
then maybe you missed how SICK he was killin EVERY beat and I dont even mean the toprock performance... his floorwork was SOOOOO spot on in this one that despite Neguin's outstanding power... Cloud unanimous...
@ShatteredSky best comment so far. I'm glad you see what I see. Some knock Cloud for " not Breakdancing" but they forget it's a DANCE. Cloud is enjoying himself and DANCING. Everyone goes on about how it's a form of expression. Well what do the people with negative comments consider expression? If Cloud doesn't express himself in his movements than who does? The guy literally embodies the movement of a cloud. Neguin has serious technique but Cloud just had a tad more style
Damn , Look from 4.14 to 4.17 : Cloud just KILLED the beat , he seems to know the song by heart, and even if he does, it still hard to make our moves and the sounds matched like he did. Bravo
Dude, i UNDERSTAND bboying, that is why i don't think like you guys anymore. I've been in the game since 97. WHen i first started i was looking at bboying for the wrong reasons. If i saw someone do flava, i was like "wtf is that? show me an airflare!" People who actually feel the beat when they dance and show it in their sets: KMEL, Casper, DOKNOCK, ABZTRAK, Cloud, Bboy IVAN, Crumbs. Those are the people i use as barometers in terms of DANCING in bboying when i judge other heads. Neguins
@NoDeth Yeah man. Kinda funny... I had recorded it but hadn't watched it yet and didn't know Cloud was gonna be performing. A friend asked if I saw the dance bit, and said there was some Asian dude in a silver ball cap who killed it. I was like: I KNOW WHO THAT WAS! Cloud is sick.
yo dude... i'm judging off in order of my priority: 1)who killed the beat (they both did) 2)who had more flow and was cleaner (IMO neguin) 3) who entertained the crowd better (Cloud) I see ur point man, cloud was dancing really well, but Neguin was dancing hard too dude. Give him respect.
For the people who can't see why Cloud won, I'll break it down for you guys. Cloud wins in these departments: dancing ability, soul, rhythm, musicality, toprock, footwork, originality. Neguin was better in technical aspects like power and freezes however it wasn't enough to win the battle.
In response to what you said to me, I'm not sure why we should aspire to stick to one or the other. Cloud does his own thing which is what Bboying is all about: originality. We SHOULDN'T imitate Clouds style but I think we can learn from it. That's the same as saying, should we do our footwork like Redfoot, clean and technical, or Wing, fluid and unorthodox? It's about the individual which is what gives Cloud the edge. He's an individual. I feel the pauses inbetween sets hurt him in the finals
his vibe is his musicality Wing is just a mastermind with those beats heymen9x i definitely wouldn't want to be the type of bboy you want to be if you can't be a buffoon and have fun
And, Cloud has come from being like Neguin or any of his opponents. Check out Cloud's past videos with the way he use to bboy, check him out in 96, or against Lego/Megus, or his past Redbull 2on2. Cloud came from bboying like the rest. Cloud can do what his opponents can do, but the reverse is not true.
Im not saying you have to do a six step to be called a bboy.I think Clouds style was amazing in this competition. But what Im saying is that what if I did House and then power really well in a bboy battle? should i be allowed to win because my set ultimately looked better even though it was mostly house? Cloud couldve danced the same way in a hip hop competition and got to finals.I just think Cloud style might become a different dance style because there is a reason he looks so significant
It's interesting when Neguin try to shake hands with Cloud, Cloud wanted the third round. He did so perfectly during the third round. He is definitely the winner!
Man, i love Clouds style, he dances to the music and makes it look so fun and awesome. i think we would of won if he used a little more power moves and a little less acting. but he's awesome!!! =D
Cloud's changing the way of bboying coz technically his dancing's not traditional bboy style, it's more street dance/michael jackson feel 2 it. i like his style and i can definitely relate 2 it. I think Neguin's dope but it shows you that sometimes style will always overcome flips. I would say keep an eye on neguin 4 the future coz this is one of his first major comps and he's done well. he's actually a dope bboy without the flips as well. Peace!
from his upstance down to his ground work while steel dancing and feeling the music. Most bboy's don't do that. Professional dancers don't even look at bboys as dancers, more like gymnast who run in circles and do incredible parkour moves on the ground. Notice how when crews make it to dance shows, that have to learn how to dance for the judges, if not, they're just going there and doing blow up moves.
That was pretty much the style he was goin for the entire time at red bull. Seems distinguished from bboying, doesn't give off that breaking vibe. Wonder if other people are starting to do this.
No bro, FLOW? FLOW???? CLoud is the epitome and embodiement of FLOW. What are you talking about? How many more adjectives do i need to throw at you for you to see this? Coud, floats, grooves, dances, flows with every part of his body to every single nuance and bit of music you hear. I do give Neguin respect, i respect him and Differ more because they were more competition than Lilou was. All im saying is that These bboys have potential, but they need to take pointers from people like
Yes. My biggest gripe with "bboys" is that the majority of them don't even dance. Yes they do physically impressive things that make my jaw drop, but so do Free Runners and gymnast. What separates a Bboy from the aforementioned is the fact that they're supposed to be dancing when they're doing their great feats.
I completley agree Cloud is simply unique that is what every bboy is supposed to strive to be. No disrespect to Neguin who is amazing in his own right but Cloud really is one of a kind.
yo dude... man im personally a style head, so i do see ur point, but the fact of the matter is... if they are feeling the beat, if they are expressing themselves through their movements then they are dancing. I don't want to start nothing, but it sounds to me like u might just not understand bboying yet... Neguin's sets did not seem pre-practiced, and he didn't give off the vibe that he wasn't feeling the beat...
I know you're being facetious, so i'll humor you, yeah, shakira too! Have you seen their video together? It's cloud basically smoking her on bed the way he did neguin in this battle.
well, his freeze at 1:51, his coindrop exit at 2:45, and at 4:29 when he had to roll out of what was supposed to be a freeze He recovered well, and i know im just being picky, but Neguin was pretty good at killing the beat in his sets and was really clean throughout, and although his style wasnt as original he definitely churned a higher difficulty of moves
Abstrak, Cloud, or Do knock who actually show a representation of what you're supposed to look like when you let actual music take you away to that place.
i do too... but u no what I'm gonna stop arguing about who won the battle I see ur points and while I still think Neguin won by a little bit, I can see how someone would think differently... what I do want to know is why u think Neguin isn't dancing... I mean he is killing the beat and I think the opening to his first set is evidence enough that he's feeling the music.. idk my opinion
Cloud probably won cause of his own unique style that he incorporated into bboying. That's why some may say he doesn't deserve to win cause he doesn't look like he's breaking much but the thing is, if people like cloud who have styles of their own didnt appear on the radar, Bboy would have died off long ago
Watch some of born or kid david and stuff... u'll see guys like that are really dancing but at the same time doing a lot of technical stuff... Neguin was feeling the beat man
Cloud was just "one" with the music....raped the beats ...damn on the eve of BC One 2010 when people r watching the new entries this time, m chking out this video, coz I feel this was the best battle of the entire BC One history. Both came out hard and raw.
So then he's not crashing. And, Clouds moves are much more difficult than Neguins. Clouds dirk diggler 540 spin from a six step? Clouds spinning on one knee, with the other leg straight out, while he's tilting his forehead back with his hand and grabbing his waist?
I dunno the reason, but I dont remember lilou doing any airflares, and it wouldve given Cloud the edge, especially as it looked like he had run outta sets
Thesis vs Cloud would've been the perfect final. I'm not sure how Thesis lost to Lilou in this competition.
Indeed one of the biggest robberies in history
red bull is rigged, how tf menno win three times?
@@mrphauker Redbull deserves his belt at 2017, even if the other ones are debatable i wouldn't call rbbc rigged for that
@@mrphauker Menno is insane lol. All top bboy respect him
Holy shit. lol Cloud got all 5 votes against Kaku, Differ and Neguin and 2 of the 5 against Lilou. 17 out of 20 votes that night for him.
10 years ago to this day... damn
Cloud has a lot of musicality and originality.
But I don't want to take away from Neguin, that dude has a lot of his own style as well as a diverse vocabulary of moves. Props to both. Really fun battle.
Its amazing how this is cloud's first time at bc & competing in a big comp like this, and made it to the finals.
Legendary Battle
Yeah, the world remember
Probably my favorite battle of the night. Neguin was probably the strongest foundation bboy of the comp. All his moves are mad clean, but the judges probably wanted more individuality, hence Cloud stylin' his way to the finals.

def the hardest battle for cloud in the whole competition...neguin was on beat, cloud was too
First time I've ever seen Neguin get completely smoked. And he was pulling most of his best sets. That is insane.
I loved how the crowd recognized "Goldrush" and within 3 beats everyone knew what it was.
i just love how most of clouds moves arent like copied. Like there completely his own. Well in this video he did like a headspin and windmills and jackhammers but u dont often see that from him. Its like he can do them but he chooses not to.

freaking dope battle

Jackhammer looks so good... Idk why man
Taeyeon because he did them clean and outa nowhere dawg just a mill set up

this is the best battle of BC one 2009 this should be the final in my opinion
HISTORY BATTLE ! ONE OF THE BEST !
3:46 - the end it was a wrap from there lol damn that was nasty XD

Where did he crash? You mean purposely going down from a groove to a set?
For the people who can't see why Cloud won, I'll break it down for you guys. Cloud wins in these departments: dancing ability, soul, rhythm, musicality, toprock, footwork, originality. Neguin was better in technical aspects like power and freezes however it wasn't enough to win the battle.
third one is sugarman3 - take it as it come, and second one is bamboos - the witch
theres two different versions. not sure which one came first but they sound slightly different.
@darkblure
Daniel Cloud Campos and his youtube channel is called " floorstatik "
First song is herbaliser? Im like 99% sure its fusik, unless fusik was taken from herbaliser.. If thats the case then ignore me =p
Could you tell me what's the 3:18 song name?
@Stainlessbull53 don't think it was meant to be a crash, if it was he played it off real well!

u can see that cloud conserves the oldschool toprock, always thought it looks kind of weird, but i love it
his vibe is his musicality Wing is just a mastermind with those beats
heymen9x i definitely wouldn't want to be the type of bboy you want to be if you can't be a buffoon and have fun

no, it was originally break boy and abbreviated to bboy, because they started dancing on the break sections of the music record.
yo good convo man... mad respect
nice battle
thank you for sharing

which is the name of first song??
That was pretty much the style he was goin for the entire time at red bull. Seems distinguished from bboying, doesn't give off that breaking vibe. Wonder if other people are starting to do this.
clouds dance style is called interpretive dance ^.^ mix with vouging!
i love how cloud has a variety of clean power and blow ups but only really uses them for a response
yup...he was touring w/ Madonna for quite a while
@NoDeth he performed with madd chadd in the up score, pretty dope shit
No bro, FLOW? FLOW???? CLoud is the epitome and embodiement of FLOW. What are you talking about? How many more adjectives do i need to throw at you for you to see this? "BEGGING, begging uuuu....put ur loving hand out baby...."
I completley agree Cloud is simply unique that is what every bboy is supposed to strive to be. No disrespect to Neguin who is amazing in his own right but Cloud really is one of a kind.
cloud is sooo gonig to win 2010 he offically is one of my favorites bboys
Jaja no
any1 knows the name of the song pls reply
thanks
yo dude... man im personally a style head, so i do see ur point, but the fact of the matter is... if they are feeling the beat, if they are expressing themselves through their movements then they are dancing. even his jump at the beggining was Smooth lol amazing style - CLOUD -
whats the song at 3:18 & 1:53 ?
@xLilRicePickerx
I mean those two categories... not the battle itself
Lol Cloud's one of the best bboys in the world, and I don't think he's ever done a flare in his life. Dope.
I know you're being facetious, so i'll humor you, yeah, shakira too! Have you seen their video together? It's cloud basically smoking her on bed the way he did neguin in this battle.
I don't get it... tu hablas espanol?
First song name please!
well, his freeze at 1:51, his coindrop exit at 2:45, and at 4:29 when he had to roll out of what was supposed to be a freeze
He recovered well, and i know im just being picky, but Neguin was pretty good at killing the beat in his sets and was really clean throughout, and although his style wasnt as original he definitely churned a higher difficulty of moves
Abstrak, Cloud, or Do knock who actually show a representation of what you're supposed to look like when you let actual music take you away to that place.
on the real i cant say who won. BUT its nice to see ppl dance more instead of trick after trick.
lol yea man mad original... and much props... but I don't know whether I would say that one move won him the battle
@xLilRicePickerx
idk i thought both there musicality and rhythm were off the chart... i would of called those two a tie
i do too... but u no what I'm gonna stop arguing about who won the battle I see ur points and while I still think Neguin won by a little bit, I can see how someone would think differently...
what I do want to know is why u think Neguin isn't dancing... I mean he is killing the beat and I think the opening to his first set is evidence enough that he's feeling the music.. idk my opinion
WOW, Cloud is like Born + Wing. how come i didn't know him till now -.-
gotta have style and flavor too i agree with you
+1 man, u are right.
4:14 just WOW !!!!
Cloud probably won cause of his own unique style that he incorporated into bboying. That's why some may say he doesn't deserve to win cause he doesn't look like he's breaking much but the thing is, if people like cloud who have styles of their own didnt appear on the radar, Bboy would have died off long ago
@allcityrockers it doesnt matter, its called falling with style
Watch some of born or kid david and stuff... u'll see guys like that are really dancing but at the same time doing a lot of technical stuff... Neguin was feeling the beat man
Cloud was just "one" with the music....raped the beats ...damn on the eve of BC One 2010 when people r watching the new entries this time, m chking out this video, coz I feel this was the best battle of the entire BC One history. Both came out hard and raw.
anyone know the song at 2:15?
Cloud inspired a new generation with this bc one, got everyone and their mom to wear khaki skinny jeans too 😂
@allcityrockers
He did that on purpose, and looks great. Check his other videos, it is a well-trained set of him.
every style of dance is about hitting the beat.
did anyone see cloud on the academy awards this year?
song at 3:18?
Neguin would win this battle if his third set was the same against Flying Buddah
Finally found it with the original sound!!!! Hate the fake crowd noise
@EinForster
The Herbaliser - Goldrush
I definitely agree with db7987 Neguin killed it!!!! final shoulda been Neguin vs Thesis
So then he's not crashing. And, Clouds moves are much more difficult than Neguins. Clouds dirk diggler 540 spin from a six step? Clouds spinning on one knee, with the other leg straight out, while he's tilting his forehead back with his hand and grabbing his waist?
was cloud the black guy or the lady
@shounenk he should have won imo too! Total fresh style man, pimpness oozing out.
I dunno the reason, but I dont remember lilou doing any airflares, and it wouldve given Cloud the edge, especially as it looked like he had run outta sets
