@caneytaneywaney5 Well this is different. Lorelai is very sure of herself, she can always tell when guys are interested, and then she plays it cool. She's used to being sure about a guy's intentions. The reason she's all clumsy is because she's not sure Luke is really interested in her because at this point they've known each other 7 or 8 years and he hasn't acted interested until now. She's unsure of his motives and therefore unsure of herself. Part of what makes them cute really.
I remember watching this on tv for the first time and literally squirting water I'd just sipped when I heard that line. So relatable!!! Such a brilliant line.
