@@MarkLittler well, the weather in my city is quite bad…. It‘s been very hot 🔥 the last days so we had some extreme Rain going on and flooding! It rained so much in 3 hours like it would normaly rain in the whole of July 🤯 lucky me i only had 4 „cheap“ whiskies stored in my cellar.
Mark, thanks for doing these SpringBank history videos. Question for you: the SpringBank 21 bottled in 2005. How could they bottle 21 year old whisky in 2005 when 21 years back from 2005 equal 1984 when the distillery was mothballed? Did it happen similar to Ardbeg where a bit of intermittent distilling still occurred during the mothball years? Thanks Mark!
*The History of SPRINGBANK in a Nutshell:* *Cheap, payable, expensive, very expensive, priceless......... no longer to buy ;)* *Greetings from a Fan from Hamburg !!*
Hi John - glad you like the video - hopefully it helps you on your collecting journey too. Some of the 1980s bottles are amazing value compared to some of the modern releases.
Love that Springbank Kiln sign with the different times. So much love for Campbeltown but this is making me want to dive deeper into Springbank. Great video Mark.
Excellent history! I enjoy their 10 yo and Kilkerran 12 regularly. Fair prices for excellent whisky 🥃 and they compliment my pipe tobaccos perfectly. Ciao from Milano! Grazie 🙏 SF
I have been drinking whisky for many years and reviewed a lot but I have never had a springbank. For some reason I have never bought one. Maybe it’s time. Cheers.
I think it's time! Amazing whisky too. I would try and get some minis of the Springbank, Hazelburn and Longrow so you can see what a versatile distillery it really is!
Very Informative! Great Video thank you from Graz, 🇦🇹 Austria
Hey. Thanks for taking the time to comment - glad you like the video too 🙂 Hopefully the weather is better in Austria than it is here 🙈

I tried collecting Springbank but alas I didn’t have the will power. I drank it all.
🤣 amazing. This is my favourite comment ever!
Alas Mr Wright passed away earlier this month after a short illness

@@MarkLittler Well you have my details. Cheers
Springbank is for me the best of all scotch Whiskies...
The SWA thing about the Campbeltown region requiring 3 working distilleries is a myth, more marketing magic by Springbank.
I wonder how the shut downs will affect these bottlings 20-30 years from now…price wise
