Sonuscore's The Orchestra: Elements should get a mention as a very good alternative to BBCSO(D). Tokyo Scoring Strings Freebie, but I don't like it much. The Free Orchestra 1&2 from Project Sam.
Sonuscore's Elements is a good one! Thanks for mentioning it. I agree with you regarding Tokyo Scoring Strings; there are better Freebies out there. The Free Orch 1 & 2 do have some amazing string patches too, thanks for the comment :)
I already have 6 of these, all from your recommendations. I'll be checking out the rest. I rarely comment but just had to this time as your channel is one of my absolute favourites. Your honesty regarding the products and calm presentation style is an absolute god send when so many other channels try to out do each other with in your face graphics or loud music that most of the time assault my senses into skipping through what they have to say. I hope your channel continues to grow because you most certainly deserve it.
That requires full Kontakt, does it not? Therefore you are having to pay for full Kontakt therefore it isn't exactly free free. If you watched the video you'll know he said it's stuff that doesn't require to pay for additional software 🙄
I make reggae and ska music. What I’m looking for are great free horns sections that aren’t Kontakt libraries. The ones I have in Logic Pro are very good, but variety is the spice of life, innit? 😊
Have you tried Bell & Bone? - librewave.com/product/bell-and-bone/ BBCSO Discover has some reasonable brass: www.spitfireaudio.com/bbc-symphony-orchestra-discover Free version of spitfire audio labs has some brass - labs.spitfireaudio.com/packs/foghorn For the free version of kontakt (kontakt player) theirs fracture sounds - Gentle brass, and Project Sam - The Free Orchestra 2, that has some nice brass Hope this helps :)

The hardest part of getting great free libraries is _finding them,_ so thank you! Awesome rundown of diverse articulations and textures.
Not a problem! I've done the leg work for you and i'll be doing vidoes covering woodwinds and brass freebies soon as well :)

Thank you, your comment made my day :) I'll try my best to keep it that way! Wishing you all the best.
Thanks so much!
All of these libraries are such gift to composers. 👏👏🙏🎶
Couldn't agree more :)
They sound great
Nice rundown. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
These are so beautiful, as are all of your free discoveries. Thank you so much for sharing them with me. 😊😊😊😊😊
You are so welcome! Will be do something similer for Wind instruments and Brass! :)
Thanks for the great rundown. One you didn’t mention is “soft string spurs” by Dan Keen on Pianobook.
