Thank you Brother Bomani for this great piece.
I am VERY concerned however about the state of the jetty in Juffureh and on the island: Kunta Kinteh.
I wrote to UNESCO in 2017 and to date received neither acknowledgement nor response...
Nonetheless, I have noted with delight that in September 2022 UNESCO has awarded just under $7,000 USD for the renovation of the jetty on the island.
However I am not aware of any restoration work being approved or undertaken on Juffreh's jetty?!
WE need US as AfRaKans to assist in this matter URGENTLY as the disrepair of the jetty is a danger to the health, safety and wellbeing of locals and visitors alike.

What is that? Is this real or made up? This did not exist before ALEX HALEYS roots, so it looks as if it is a money-making venture. I wouldn't mind paying if a goat wasn't eating all over it. This looks like a stretch to me with a GOAT eating all around it @ 0:57?
