Sorry I missed the live chat. We have had four westies over the last 30 years. We can’t get enough of them.
They sleep longer than 8 hours. So excited for you guys to make the trip! My Westie is an awesome flyer. I wish flying to London with a dog was made easier, they do not approve of in-cabin dogs coming in. Such a mess..

Hello from Wales. Sorry to miss the live chat. Happy Easter! My Westie was the last left also. We bought him in Wales, UK over 5 years ago for about £600. I see them now for several thousand. Best thing we ever did. We don't have children, so consider him our little boy :) Our Westie weights 8.4 at the moment and we've been told he's on the small size. I hear that Westie will get bigger if you have them fixed, but that is something we won't be doing with ours, although he's been in barking mode lately. For pumpkin in the states, try health food stores.
Hi and Happy Easter! 🐰 I'm glad you watched it even if not live ❤️ Sami is also our baby so I understand perfectly 😅 We are considering "fixing" Sami at some point because the vet says it's for their health... I do know they tend to gain weight, that's not great if we want to fly with him in the future. However, we are still looking into it.
I will look for pumpkin, I think there's a whole foods near (although probably it's 10x more expensive than here 😅)

Do you plan to allow Sami to match with another Westie?
We did want to, but nobody wanted him 😂😂😂 We never found anybody. We once swapped numbers with a Westie girl who was looking for a mate, but she stood us up 😅 So if somebody shows up and wants Sami puppies before he gets "fixed", we are more than happy!

Sami is literally a double of our dog George...not just how he looks but his stubbornness, independence and personality. It's hilarious. 😅

I watched this after the live broadcast. This was so fun, especially reading peoples comments. I agree with how much you have done for those of us who have lost our Westies. And Sami is so much like my folks Westie, especially when my stepdad built a beautiful bench , and my Mom made him a pillow so he could watch out the livingroom window all day. And sun himself ..
He would go crazy when he would see squirrels ! They lived in the woods , and when they let him outside on his long rope to his collar he would go after them and they would stay just out of his reach to torment him!

Hi Sami and parents. Zola is 14 in June. He’s always his own boss. We do as he wants. Westietude as we all know. What I will say is that Zola has had hoppy leg all his life and lives on the beach. He’s happier on the beach than anywhere else. He runs everywhere which I think is easier than fast walking. He’s going deaf now but otherwise he’s great. Zola sends his love to Sami.

I have learned a lot from your videos. I love them, and you, and I love Sami! I am the happy owner of a 10 month old Westie named Siobhan (pronounced Shevon, an Irish word meaning “God is gracious”. She has been a handful. I am still training her to potty outside instead of her favorite spot in our bathroom. And I am still trying to get her to eat healthy dog food. She likes human food only.
I am so happy to hear that! Ah, puppy Siobhan 🥰 I love that name! (We lived in Ireland before moving to Portugal where we are now) 😊 Sami was also difficult to potty train 😅 It took longer than it usually does with dogs, but once he learned, he never peed in the house since! They are smart, but they need discipline and consistency. Also, the "teenage years" are a handful, yes! It gets better after she will turn 2 years old ❤️
I watch you guys all the time …. Such good advice. Your Sammi has all the same issues my Duncan has , allergies , ears…he seems chill like mine which is odd for westies…I wash him with all the same stuff..he is my second Westie , first one was a female …and I found a huge difference with a male. They are so much more affectionate. Sorry I missed this live event. You will love the USA …they are so relaxed and welcoming with dogs. I’m Canadian ….and spend lots of time in the USA they love dogs.

uncanny how similar your Sami is to my Westie. She will also spend most of the day just excitedly staring at people from her window perch. She's also quite small for a Westie like Sami seems to be.
oh and strangely enough. Our puppy was from a litter of 5 and we were lucky enough to get the last one of the litter. The other 4 had been picked up already, We think we got the best one. They really are the best dogs.
