Jean Jacques Goldman en produisant le magnifique album ''D'eux'' avait demandé à Céline de baisser d'un ton et de diminuer la puissance de sa voix et le résultat pour moi a donné le meilleur album à vie de Céline. Par contre, elle reste une très grande chanteuse et je suis extrêmement heureux de sa performance aux J-O et son interprétation de l'Hymne à l'amour de Piaf a touché des millions de personnes sur la planète et elle prouve qu'une grande chanson, même pour ceux qui ne comprennent pas un mot de français peut vous faire verser une larme.

This song was written after Edith Piaf’s lover passed in an aircraft accident. Celine can exactly relate to her grief and that is what sets this rendition so soulful. You can literally feel their emotions, both of them as Celine belts out a stunning performance.

This is a very difficult song to sing (I'm French) and cosidering her very debilitating neurological condition , I was in disbelief watching her masterclass performance. This woman is just out of this world. So inspirational.

To everybody whining about him pausing the video to say something…you’re all acting like you’ve never seen a reaction video before. That’s what a reaction video IS. All TH-camrs who do reaction videos do it the same way. This isn’t new, folks.
Be thankful that his pauses are short, others I’ve seen pause the video way too often and talk for a minute before restarting it. This is one of the least intrusive reaction videos I’ve watched.
If you want to see the entire performance without interruption, go to CBC or NBC or another news outlet who aired it. It’s everywhere, go look for it instead of whining to a TH-camr who’s doing what he’s supposed to do. 🙄

Almost all music experts, Fans and critics say that " Queen at Life Aid" is the best Performance of all time.
I would say, you have to count this as well. Even IF she recorded the vocals the day before. She still had to sing this Song, in her condition. She had to perform and IF recorded sing along live on TV. But it looks live. In her condition, every Moment of exaustion could trigger a spasm.... to stand there, performing and not only sing, but owning that stage.
The more Times i watch this, the more im impressed. After 5 years, the strengh to perform, the will and the mental comfort to perform like this, just wow.
