    Finally a semi-decent video on bushings. You made a quick remark on softer bushings on 50° trucks. This is huge. Most people forget about the geometry of the truck. For example: 60° trucks require much softer bushings than 35° trucks. Also you should talk a bit about rake, since it affects the stability, and therefore your bushing choice. (Sometimes slalom knowledge pays off. ;))

    Different bushing hardness also makes a different 'feel' of turn. Compared to symmetrical bushings, softer roadside make it feel like you have a slightly higher angle truck and softer boardside feels like a lower angle.

    I've only had original trucks, so I have no idea what kind of bushings I should have for my new Gullwing sidewinder 2's. I weigh 92kg / 202 lbs.
    I don't do sliding or downhill, I only use it as a form of transportation.
    I live in the city so I need to be able to make really tight turns to dodge people while I cruise down the street but I want it to be steady as well for somewhat higher speed.
    Someone help me please!

    Hey , I am mostly freeriding and never really looked that much at the bushings, I changed them at the shop (barrel and cone). Now I wanna buy some different ones like barrel and stepped cone but I am not sure about the duro... Cause the barrel I have in my nemesis are 100a, lol, and they are alright not hard (not sure what the cone is) but also not too soft. I'm 187 lbs. so I thought about board side 94a stepped cone and roadside a barrel 91a. Would that be alright or would it be too much of a difference in the hardness?

    Hey man I have Paris v2's and weigh about 137lbs. I mostly want to slide and cruise any suggestions on what style and how soft or hard to get them for what I want to do?

    • @MotionBoardshop
      @MotionBoardshop  10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We would suggest an 87a Venom barrel on bottom (boardside) and 85a venom barrel on top (roadside), gets you a good split duro feel for your weight, a little more stability for slides, but still loose enough to carve and chill accordingly

    Looking into getting new bushings. I have heard in different places that the Orangatang Nipple bushings are nice. I was wondering what size you would recommend for cruising, overall getting a nice smooth ride.

    Isnt 83a a little soft for downhill? I have 89a barrels for freeride and at 130lbs it still is too leany.

    • @MotionBoardshop
      @MotionBoardshop  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on your weight, preference, trucks, bushing shape and urethane in the bushings. I have for sure used 81a stepped cones as a top bushing in precision trucks for downhill and I'm 160lbs, so it all boils down to personal preference/feel :) -Jackson

    That's crazy idk anything about Bushings and trucks, mine are red assuming 90A cone, Paris V2 50 degree 150MM and I weigh 178lbs.... Most people that get on my board tell me "you don't go downhills with this right" funny thing is I do, I've gone up to 40mphs on my board, the way look my ankle set and how strong, they are immovable. I prefer feeling "lose" I live in NYC and I prefer to carve around cars. Al though I'm thinking about a thicker board (8 Ply) strictly for free ride and downhill like the Arbor Backlash 37, assuming that it'll have the appropriate bushing set up for that type of riding, otherwise I would have to buy my bushing set up for its specifics.

    I weigh ~140 pounds. I want to start getting into free-ride and light downhill. I still want to be able to cruise around and carve.
    I was thinking 87a barrel board side, and 85a cone road side. Is this best for what I will be doing?

      GoldmoonProductions i ride double barrel for my 50 degree freeride caliber two trucks on my jet 36.0 deck. i ride yellow roadside and purple boardside. ive tried barrical road side but ive fallen on my butt going pretty fast. so doublr barrel has done me justice so far.
