Thank you for posting this wonderful variation of Romeo & Juliet... I knew without knowing the minute I saw Tetsuya that he was a Royal Ballet Dancer. You can't hide the unmistakable technique of a classically trained Royal Ballet Artist.
I have really never realize how great a dancer and actor Kumakawa is till I saw this. He was matched fantastically with Roberta whom I never knew before. BRAVISIMO !!!! 熊川さんのこのヴァージョンが今まで観た（世界中の有名ダンサーのをYTを通して視ています） ロメオのなかで最も感動しました。ロバータもそれにあう素晴らしい踊りと演技をみせて くれました。ブラヴィシモ ‼‼‼ 彼のエレヴエーションとプレシジョンそしてアタックは 群を抜いていますね。
I can hardly believe how beautiful this is. I sure wish I could see the full length ballet. And as far as looking good in tights, there's no need to look any further. Tetsuya is the whole package. One of the best dancers I've ever seen. Such a beautiful performance.
I must add, besides being such a great dancer, he's quite possibly the best ballet actor I've seen. His face shows so much passion, and I'm always convinced he's in love with his partner. He's always believable.
Lovely, lovely, lovely! A virile, youthful Romeo matched with a fresh and beautiful Juliet. Ballet doesn't get any better than this. Thank you for putting it in the public realm.
So it's his choreography as well? What a talent! So glad you're posting vids of both these dancerrs. This was a generation of RB I totally missed. I really like him over some of the Russians because he does have spectacular elevation and such but is also extremely pure in his placement and is also an excellent actor. Thanks for all these posts of him!
Kumawaka is one of the best ballerines of the history of Ballet. And a great artist and people. I love his performances so talentous, charismatic, sensitivity and lovely. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹
McMillan is still my favourite but i havnt seen the whole version of this so carnt really compare it. Never the less it looks adorable. I love him and she was a very nice dancer with the royal ballet. Shame there isn't much of her recorded.
As a dancer myself, Tetsuya is the one dancer I would have given everything for, just to dance with him... an incredible master of his art. What a handsome man as well...

I have not seen any full videos from Tetsuya Kumakawa during his time at the Royal Ballet, seems these are scarce? perhaps there are more recordings in his K-Ballet time.... Thanks so much BunduBallerina for putting together this video and sharing it with us ballet fans! After seeing all the clips I've found with Tetsuya I can only say WOW! this is fantastic, great male dancer! and also a coreographer Roberta Marquez is just delightful, I wish also there were more recordings of her time at Royal Ballet
Tetsuya's K-Company is amazing! Wonderful production and I saw Roberto Bolle and Misty Copeland's Romeo but this is amazing and breathtaking. I'd have loved to see Tetsuya and his ballet company in person! All his dancers are great! Thanks for posting.

The "Maestro" is Sergey Prokofiev, an Superbe Musician of the ends of XIX century and first of XX century. He wrote and composed a lot of Masterpieces between are Sacred Spring, The Firebird, The three oranges, Romeo and Juliet, and many Symphonies, Concerts and so more legality musical to the Mainkind. Thank you, Maestro. Without Music there aren't Ballet. ❤️🌹

Thanks you Maestro. Stravinsky was a contemporary Musician and when he started his firsts accordins of Firebird for Anna Pavlova , she was in a big trouble with the great musician... Before I saw this, my favourite Romeo and Juliet were Anthony Dowell and Gelsey Kirkland. I still love that one but this one just blows me away
