To all you Oriole Fans wherever you are, it was such an Honor to Play in front of the Greatest Fans around during my tenure there. From 1978-1985 it couldn’t have been more fun as I look back and too top it off with that WS Championship in 83, Wow! This past weekend Honoring that club was So Much Fun and What A Weekend it was👍😊👌
The honor is ours for being blessed to have such a tremendous group of talented ballplayers representing Birdland! Each individual player made his mark and did his part. I was working the night shift as a custodian in ‘83. I listened to the games on my knock-off Walkman every night. Sometimes the game would be preempted by the Phillies game per the AM radio contract. Little did I know, I was getting a preview of the 1983 World Series! That turned out pretty well, huh. Thank you for your loyal service to O’s fans everywhere.
Was good to see you at dream week.. not sure if it was 2014 or 15. I was the one in the knee brace; had asked you if you remembered the grand slam you hit that won someone a million $.
I remember going to opening day in 1977 and seeing him play I turned to my friend and I said that the first baseman was a solid player and would help this team if only I could have known ( RIGHT ) ? The Orioles had all the pieces of the puzzle in place but mostly the solid pitching was overlooked !!
I attended the crushing game 162 defeat in 1982 as a 7 year old. I left the stadium knowing they would win it all in 1983. The '83 team will always be peak childhood baseball memories for me.
I saw Don Baylor hit to homers off the Yankees, in 1975, in New York, at Shea Stadium. Yankee Stadium was being remodeled in ‘74 and ‘75, so, the Yankees played their home games there. Also, saw Jim Palmer pitch a shutout there, that 2nd game of the DH. Great memories.
I miss that voice Chuck Thompson he was the voice of the Orioles and the colts ain't that big hole Daddy missing man I missed it listen Chuck rest easy 💔🙏😥
Amen my friend. I was 12 (turned 13 in November) at the time and was very naìve; believed they would do this every year. Sadly they were, like the Phil's, an aging team, and this would be the end of the "Tradition of Excellence."
I’ve looked at this video since i was a little boy going to games at memorial stadium.. jealous that my older brothers got to experience the World Series in 1983 while i was only one years old … 1996 , 1997 and 2014 pains me and many orioles fans in my age group who were die hard fans before Purple came into existence in Baltimore… i just want to experience a World Series run in my lifetime 🥺 plz don’t screw this up Mr Hyde 💯💯💯💯
"He could end up in Cooperstown. He has that kind of ability." Joe Nolan predicted that a very young Cal Ripken, Jr. had all the makings of a HOFer. Nolan was right.

Ty for helping us win a World Series Gary Roenicke.

You're the best!
It was a pleasure watching you play Gary!! ⚾
Eddie Murray was the most under appreciated slugger on the planet. I love that man and you should too.

2023 Orioles have a better Record so far this year as the 1983 team that won it all
It don’t mean nothing if it’s no ring 💍 from the 2023 Os
Wow thank you.

Not only that, but he's the Greatest Shortstop in the History of Baseball. #IRONMAN
Great season!
I love my Orioles
Would you believe it's been over 40 years and no World Series return yet.
I miss world series game in the day light hours
Home plate umpire using the outside chest protector. 5:07
At 10:47 Tippy Martinez picks off THREE runners in one inning
Sorry I missed it up when he used to say ain't the beer cold Daddy Chuck for using say that
Narrated by Chuck Thompson.
How can you have an 83 Orioles highlight film and not mention Eddie Murray's name until until the 14 minute mark...shameful
The Baltimore Orioles were mediocre after 1983, but were involved in a pennant race with the AL juggernaut Toronto Blue Jays in 1989.
