Been using radio around a month radio is really nice. The indicator lights suck if you ride in sun or any glare can’t hardly see and constantly have to second guess yourself if your turn signals are on and people can see your turning
Dang it Jay.! Watching this series makes me want this radio. More power to my removable tour pack . And my amp run's 4 channel's off of 2 at high input, so I can go with the comp PPI's in the fairing at 2ohm and still have plenty of options for ohm loads for the saddlebag's. #07SG. Too many optiins. Keep the video's coming brother.
I would like to enquire with regards to my Hdhu 9813sg unit. When bike is turn on, only the Neural, signal light (indicator lights)is able to light up. The rest of the screen is blank with no lights. Radio dont seem to work. No response from pressing any of the buttons. All connection and fuse is fine. Please advise.🙏🏽
Your radio is not powering on, you need to test battery power and ignition power plus the ground wiring. The neutral bar has independent power from the radio
Love the radio minus the indicators lights. My other bike doesn't even have turn signals so it doesn't really bother me that much but it would be nice to be able to see them. Do you have any recommendations for a hidden antenna?
Any fixes for no or very poor radio reception. Tried every antenna combo out there. Went back to the stock antenna. If I pop the Harley radio back in, everything is perfect. I’m not running any amps to the unit.
@@theGoblinStopper poor radio reception is normally due to class d amplifiers or led lights interfering, also hidden antennas are terrible, for best reception use a mast antenna at the rear of the bike
@ never mind. I appreciate the help. I was tinkering on it and pulled out the manual and actually read it. I never did the channel search. Now I got over 30 stations and they’re all crystal clear.
Will this work with a 2011 ultra limited and I have the aftermarket Batwing fairing with the 6x9 hose already cut in the speaker area but it still has the double DIN cutout for a standard radio or a regular Harley radio
I just realized that my iPhone has a EQ and was on low bass setting… would I get better sound quality with my tuning and Apple CarPlay if I set my iPhone EQ at flat also?!
I've notice since installing this radio my heated grips are no longer working, I disconnected the cigarette lighter and use that hole for the usb, does the cigarette light run the heated grips.. bike is a 2012 Ultra with factory heated grips ?
They could have jumped the same wiring circuit but removing the lighter would not disconnect the heated grips unless you removed additional connections

I know that Soundstream is working on the turn signal brightness, other than that the radio has been awesome
Great install video Jay, definitely something that can be done in a garage with hand tools, thanks as always! God Bless!😇👍
Thank you Ken! God bless!

Me recommendation for a hidden antenna would be that none work great, use iHeart radio through your phone

How do you remove the chrome bezel for more clearance?
The chrome trim is 2-way taped on so you just pull it off.
Does this fit a Metra 95 HDIF inner faring? If not is there any other option besides Sony that will fit?
No, and no good option

This will not fit an aftermarket double din fairing
@@volunteeraudio I'm sorry I meant single din
Saw a guy watching net flicks and TH-cam on his, what did he do for that option?
The RDVFL cp/aa mirror adds this option when plugged into the radio usb. You must have wifi available for these features to work

Turn off the eq in your phone, also turn off sound check
