Fun fact, Tarot of Pegan Cats was written by Barbara Moore but she used a fake name for the deck as at that time she was releasing so many projects for Lo S. If you look at the devil card in her last tarot deck (Good Fortune Tarot) and Pegan Cats, the bonded individuala all have donkey ears. There is a meaning behind them, the donkey ears represents stubbornness and materialism.

I'd have never guessed donkey but that’s a fun spin. They still just make me chuckle 😂👌🏻

I seem to always find a video of yours I have missed! After buying too many decks I didnt really resonate with I finally realised animal decks are my narurally happy place. I do like some people decks but find something beautifully connective for me in decks that include the natural world. Without that... they fascination just doesn't stick.
Thank you for always sharing your beautiful heart warming collection... and your words and knowledge on deck specifics.
    🙌

I love stumbling on old missed videos from who I watch too. I’m glad this one was a great theme for you. I’ve been working on a playlist for all animal, nature and tarot discussions, as they definitely hold a special place in my practice too 🥰

Omg the animal of farthings wood! What a throwback! And yes I agree, it was really quite deep and harrowing, can’t quite believe we were watching it so young 🙈😂 you’ve really got me back to eying up the Oak, ash and thorn deck again after this 🙈 beautiful collection!

lol, so glad someone else recognised the reference. Super harrowing, but a great political eco and environmental discussion. Definitely not something I feel they’d show now context to age wise though 😂 aww thank you. I am lucky to have such a great variety. The oak is lovely despite my difficulties holding it all.

@@cosmic.creeper I 100% agree, really ahead of it’s time , a bit like princess mononoke did a few years later, they’re both very much etched in my mind so they definitely got their message across, despite the age 🙈😂 I have tiny hands so that is a concern but it’s just so unique and beautiful, plus I really like they’re eco friendly ethos 🙌🏻

I’ll have to look up the princess one to refresh my memory. Lol. Clearly not as in form as I’d hope. Ah yes, I have tiny hands too and have nightmares handling so many of my decks. I feel like linen cardstock is my dream now. The oak is traditionally sized but quite I thick one. Sometimes shuffling half feels more effective and comfortable. But I wont lie, it definitely feels thick to me.

@@cosmic.creeper haha it’s an old Studio Ghibli film, really does explore Japanese folklore and love of their forests against the Industrial Age encroaching all wrapped up in a good adventure with a poignant message 🙌🏻 thanks for giving me the heads up, I shall definitely bear that in mind and I totally agree linen is also my favourite cardstock, just something more tactile and arty to it , love how it feels and shuffles 🙈😂

Oh that sounds awesome too, will definitely have a look. You're welcome. I know how frustrating it can be, so knowing in advance is always good. =) yes, linen just feels so forgiving yet durable.

Enjoyed seeing your animal deck collections. My favourite is the animal wisdom tarot.

I know this was a couple of years ago, but thank you for this tag! I love looking at all the animal decks - I really quite like the look of that Tarot Fauna one ❤ hopefully i can track it down! Blessings from England ❤

I’m glad you enjoyed it. I have a few different ones now too. I don’t think I have it in me to do a whole collection series again. But maybe I will do an updated animal one next year. 🥰
I have heard of other prints of tarot fauna being done over the years, but I have no idea if the artist still sells them now or not.

@cosmic.creeper I don't blame you for not doing another collection series - that would be intense! But I loved this little peek 😊 I am certainly going to keep my eye out for the Tarot Fauna - you never know! ✨️

Love your animal deck collection, I am an avid fan of animal decks myself and after this I think I need to add the Animism Tarot and Tarot Fauna :)

I’m glad you enjoyed the selection. I’m always curious, what drew you to those two specifically? 🥰

@@cosmic.creeper I have a lot of the the others already :D
Of the ones I don't have I liked the art of these two the most, and the selection of animals depicted.

I loved this video of course. I have surprisingly few of these as a fellow animal deck lover -- only two (Pacific Northwest + Considerate Cat) -- though Animal Totem Tarot I know I'll have eventually, when I feel inclined to set aside the time to work with it. I recently got the Urban Crow Oracle from the same creator as Crow Tarot, and am really enjoying that - I wasn't sure how I'd get on with a single-animal-deck that *wasn't* cats (!!) but I think it's great.

    • @cosmic.creeper
      @cosmic.creeper  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Thank you. That’s interesting we don’t own many crossovers yet. I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying the crow oracle, it looks awesome. I felt similarly about something that wasn’t cats, I feel like I’d be ok with just foxes too due to my love for them. But I definitely don’t find myself called to singular animal decks anywhere near as often. I feel the oracles serve better than the tarots in that way. The animal totem is an absolute treasure. I’m glad it’s mass market as it’s nice to have that good, that is. 🥰
