That V12 revving over 10'000 rpm, what a treat for all of us, congratulation to Pete, Kevin and Scott! Thanks Greg for bring us along! Just fantastic guys! 👍💪✌
13hrs and only 5k views!?? As much as I want this channel to grow, knowing what we are getting access to here, and remaining so “exclusive “ is proper noice for my ego. Change nothing, thank you for what you do.
I was born and raised in Southern California, and used to ride dirt bikes at El mirage amongst all other places, and lived in Apple valley which is a hop skip and a jump from El mirage. Man I wish I could have been there to watch that.... So proud of you guys! (That's why living in Missouri kind of sucks for not being able to go to some of these events)
These back to back results are testimony to the outstanding work in the engine, especially the cylinder heads and valve train. Would be fascinating to see partnership with a spintron machine and find out at what RPM the valve train becomes unstable. The beast really sings up top.
I love these guys and the videos. My only complaint is there aren't more and they aren't longer. It's so interesting to me. As a machinist and fabricator, I admire what these two guys do in their small, fairly simple shop. The brain power is off the charts. Thanks for the video and thank them for letting you put this out .
Another great Video of Another great record run. Congratulations Pete, Kevin, the Drivers Scott and Carl and thank you Greg for sharing this fabulous success... greetings from Germany 🇩🇪 🇺🇸
Back in the late 70's and 80's when I used to go to El Mirage I called it El Garage. The town of Adelanto was just a tiny place that had one quicky mart, and one mom and pop hamburger shop...no chain fast food joints at all.
I thought they were running longer than the mile and a third, damn that is awesome. Plus the sound of the V-12 at full song is awesome. I remember my first V-12 in the Ferrari 512 at Laguna Seca have hooked ever since. Thanks for documenting everything Greg
All record runs must be backed up. At the end of the first run and if a record speed is attained, the car gets impounded and then the car must make another run in the opposite direction. The average of the two runs is the record speed.
What a YOWL! Halfway between a Ferrari F1 car, and a WWII fighter - which makes sense, because the engine is somewhere in between the two. It's a tenor or baritone, as opposed to the F1's soprano or the fighter's bass.
5:16 in the video, right side red light comes on.... Is that when the Nitrous was added? Edit: TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) 100% 😘but EGT at 1343 degrees F? WOW that melts aluminum pistons... 😢 Edit 2: I love these guys! Living the DREAM!
The map sensor on the screen said 13.1 psi I believe so was that at the end of the run and just the air getting rammed into the engine at 267 miles an hour through the intake?
Map is reading atmospheric pressure, which is normally 14 to 1 at sea level. However they are up in elevation slightly. About 2000 feet. 13.1 represents wide-open throttle for this particular vehicle.
Listening To The Conversation.. And Thinking A Gear Change.. +/- MPH... Then They Mentioned It... I'd Believe It Necessary.. Drop Some Rear Gear.. Stretch The RPM.. Light The Giggle Gas As Soon As 2nd Gear... 280 around The Corner..
,,,...please get a laser and grader out there,,,and smooth out that 3/4 mark,,,...and get rid of the bumps for christ sake......this is a race strip,,...make it one,............notsorry,,,,(imo)😮

Our pleasure! Thank you for watching
That thing sounded goooood
I couldn't agree more! That V12 makes beautiful music!
@@richb.4374 like your pic, don't like him either.
Damn! that thing sounds a bit like an old formula 1 car. That sound is amazing.
There's nothing it sounds sweeter than that custom V12 motor singing at 10,000 RPMs!

Congradulations from West Australia.
Adrenaline rush through the cockpit camera lens😊
Truly amazing accomplishment...congratulations! It blows my mind how loose the car gets during a run. Your drivers are very talented!
Beautiful and terrifying. Glad I'm a spectator. What a priveledge. Congratulations RTAB, and thanks Greg for sharing.
Watching Pete erupt in joy is my favorite part. Congratulations to Pete, Kevin and the team.
There is no hat so big that I want to take off for the incredible ingenuity of these men.
damn 430km/h
good timing with the camera. giving us a look at Pete right when he learns the news. Great job videographer.
161° engine temp after that run is ASTONISHING! Especially with a 300 shot!!!!
Well done boys.
Greetings from Scotland. 🏴🏴
Outstanding! Great effort for the team and for Pete and Kevin. Engine gods for sure.

That shriek! OMG! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Congratulations, I am smiling a wide smile. Amazing sound as only a V-12 can make. Ripping silk at its best.

Huge congratulations!! Greetings from the Bay Area, California
Pete and Kevin are true wizards of motor sports. It’s really cool to watch them celebrate!!
Thank you!
Thanks once again Greg! It's hard not to get emotional with this stuff! Love you guys! 👍
Great Job, I knew it would do it. Handled that 300 shot without no problems. Thanks to all of ya, taking us along!
They got room to go Forward
Great result, congratulations from sunny Yorkshire
Wow! Hitting a speed bump doing 249mph!!!!!! DANG
Brass balls
Congratulations guys, that's what its all about 👍😎🏴
Wow! That sounds wicked!
Y’all made it look easy. Nuther record coming soon I expect?
Congratulations all involved…
Sounds like music to the ears at 10,000RPM... Watching all the work that was done to make this happen? is why Bonneville racers are the best...
Another great video guys, i love watching these from over here in the UK. Good luck next month!!
Congrats and thank you all for sharing all the amazing accomplishments with us mortals lol.
10k on the redline hell ya
ya. the car sounds so cool
Thing of beauty. Thanks for sharing.
Just curious. How do your tires go on a dirt lakebed like that? does it chew them up?
Congrats guys! Hey I always meant to ask is their v12 60° or 90°?
looks like 60
127 👍's up GQ thank you for sharing 🤗
Awesome congratulations
Awesome. Thank you so much for this.
Awesome congratulations to all involved.

Home Grown Gearheads don't need NO Billion Dollar Bankrolled Backers:
JUST GOTTA HAVE THE WANT TO❗️😂
Well done!

A true Masterpiace of engineering and application congrates and wow great driven fersure
Congrats, guys! Is it a one-way run for your class? Is that two-way record stuff mostly for tv?
All record runs must be backed up. At the end of the first run and if a record speed is attained, the car gets impounded and then the car must make another run in the opposite direction. The average of the two runs is the record speed.
Records at El Mirage are really more just track records.
Bonneville records have to be backed up and are averaged speed.
@@kevinbraun6272 - Learned something new! Congrats again!
Man, what a glorious sound.....
That little 369CI was turning so many rpms, it sounded like a Kawasaki Ninja.
I've realised that it's not just making evermore horsepower, it's finding someone crazy enough to pilot that thing.
nice run that thing was screaming down the lake i was at pre stage but it sounded good congrats
That is faster than I would be comfortable driving on that chopped up surface!
Whenever a young person tells me boomers are lame i show them these guys and Larry Spiderman Mcbride.
That’s a sweet sound. Great work!
that looked planted once he got to 240+ once again well done plus really liked all the different camera views
She was skating around an awful lot! That took some cast iron underwear to pilot that Beast!
Nice job guys.!
She's still in her comfort-zone.
Man you could hear the instant he hit the nitrous on that spectator shot
Amazing ; thanks from old New Orleans 😎
Thank you James!
That's what is known as FULL SONG! This thing is running strong !
Incredible! Way to go fellas! How many records is this?
What a YOWL! Halfway between a Ferrari F1 car, and a WWII fighter - which makes sense, because the engine is somewhere in between the two. It's a tenor or baritone, as opposed to the F1's soprano or the fighter's bass.
That motor is sick!
Whoa she gets up to speed quickly.
Awesome achievement!
That sounds so damn good!
Everything amazing🏁
Wow, that thing sounds bonkers
Pretty insane that we have street cars that can do this nowadays. God bless the internal combustion engine

That thing sounds so sweet.
Wow, thanks
Beautiful motor makes beautiful things.
Yes it does!
Last time a V12 sounded like that was around 1994
The 12s are so very special
God the sound
I know power requirements go up by the square of velocity or something but with that much power I'd have thought way over 300 mph was capable
It is actually a cube law, you need 8x the power to go twice as fast, or put another way, if you double the power you can go about 25% faster.
*6:15** Holy crap! 10,000 RPM on a V12! WOW!*
Home made v12 screaming at 10k rpms…. Just wow. Thing was singing
That's movin'
Congratulations
Hell that sound, it's better than the f1 v12 !!
Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut-330 MPH. ... Hennessey Venom F5-311 MPH. ...
Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 304.7 MPH. ... Bugatti Bolide-311 MPH. ...

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport-268 MPH. ... Rimac Nevera-258 MPH.
It sounds like an old formula one car!!
The good ones 😅
I am 76, no money and no talent. You guys GO!!!
Never too late to get started!
Seems amazing, until you think about Top Fuel Dragsters going over 300 MPH in less than a quarter mile. (1000 feet)
Nitromethane, massive slicks on prepared track and million dollar budgets. I'm here to see what old school mechanical geniuses can build and race.
1:51 These are the moments for which we strive.
Pete the GOAT !!!
Niiiiccceeee sound!!!
Glad you like it!

@@GregQuirin I thought that was internal manifold pressure. That’s what I’m used to seeing a map sensor number let you know. Thanx
Awesome 👍
The racing surface at the high speed end was quite rough. Not ideal conditions. Congratulations. Take care.
Thank you!
I love this stuff but always fear for the guys. 😅
Just think Burt Munro did 211 mph on 1000cc Harley that was all home made lol
✌️

How much tar you got none of it
CONGRATULATIONS GUYS! I can watch this over and over, such a sweet sound!
Sertinly it was ear, a concern bye
My daily driver is slower in 0-60mph than this thing 200-260mph.
M.A.T. Aspark just drove 272 mph a few days ago. An electric car is faster than this 1200 hp dingdong.
,,,...please get a laser and grader out there,,,and smooth out that 3/4 mark,,,...and get rid of the bumps for christ sake......this is a race strip,,...make it one,............notsorry,,,,(imo)😮
For safety sake😮😮😮.wth
That's fun, but going over 310mph in 1/8 mile is more impressive......
