Mabuhay! I love this game so much! Like River City Ransom/Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari and Renegade/Nekektsu Kouha Kunio Kun, Shin Nekketsu is my all-time favorite Kunio kun game. Enjoy po ang mechanics nito for a Brawler game and as a fan, I approve of this game's existence.
Compared to other beat em ups of the 16 bit era, this game feels incredibly clunky and outdated, but the technical gameplay redeems it. It’s by far one of the best brawlers i’ve ever played, and is all around one of my favourite games of all time.
27:06 how did you manage to kill him with that? Don't they always push you away after a while? I never played this so I have no idea how the mechanics work.
Early enemies are usually weak so it's possible to keep punching them while they're down. It's still possible later in the game BUT you have to be quick and time it right or else you indeed get shoved away.
it's a pity and sadness that a great game like this is mistakenly seen as being related to that fucking river city girls shit by naming it River city girls zero instead of its original or faithfully translated name
To be fair, this is the first introduction of Kyoko and Misako so calling it RCG zero isn't that far off but yeah, it would've been nice if they stuck with the games original title
If it's in the US localization, It is understandable that they use the River City Girls Zero title which makes an appeal to the Western Market. In Japan however, they didn't change the title instead they added, "-with River City Girls extra-" below the title of the game. I think you still don't understand how Technos localized their games in the Western Market during the 80's and 90's when they try to create an appeal to the Western Market. Arc Systems and Wayforward did the same thing as Technos when they marketed Shin Nekketsu.
@@MrCoconuts64_Lum69 In the US, yes. But in Japan, they didn't change the title but adds "with River City Girls extra" under the title. It felt like Arc Systems and Wayforward tried to do the same marketing as Technos did back in the 80's and 90's when they try to create an appeal to the Western gaming market when it comes to changing the titles.
Though I understand why they call it River City Girls Zero, if I had to give it a name, I'd call it Super River City. Adding "Super" to the title was like a tradition of many SNES games at that time.

Man, This is one of the hardest games I've ever played of the kunio kun series
Juegazo!!!! Es una joya oculta del snes, un minuto de silencio a los que no saben de la existencia de este juegazo 😔
This game was hard. Enemies attack much faster than us. Especially those biker gangs and yakuza guys
It still has a pattern to it, it's cheap but the game gives you a robust move set to fight back still

Same, really love the kunio-kun franchise!
