The main reason this bike is best for bigger guys imho is that the motor is not located on the rear wheel hub. It is instead located at the crank. This layout costs more to build and is a benefit. It avoids the direct drive hub and instead allows the motor to change gears via chain and sprockets. Myself weighing 265lbs this is the bike I wish I had. You get what you pay for in this a case gear reduction layout.
