20 seconds in and I still get the same chills that I got back in 1990. That's when I know the music's really *real.* Only difference is that I actually comprehend what they're saying. Back then, I was just boppin' around to the music. My dad would explain certain things to me, but it obviously went over my head. I have a good feeling about this record. Be well, fellas.
Loving this one thanks for sharing very important information giving thanks blessed love to all knowledge is power hopefully everyone pays attention keep up the good work peace to the gods
What the hell man I wanted to hear Alamo introduce the next video. For people saying they lip sync hiphop artists had to do it when it was televised back then, but if it was a local rap show they'd rhyme properly.
Not really. The crowd appears to be predominantly black. Black America needed this positive message back in this era at the height of the nationwide crack epidemic and murder boom in 1990. Also, Afrocentricity was mainstream in Hip Hop culture especially on the East Coast back in the late 80's and early 90's. And for a short time in the early 90's before the Rodney King verdict and the OJ trial, even white folks and other races were more open minded and accepting of all of the positive blackness. Even more accepting open minded than the beginning of the Obama era. Believe that. Back in the early 90's, even white dudes wore Cross Colors and Malcolm X t shirts. Brand Nubian were so ahead of their time. They were one of the first rap groups to wear baggy jeans. Grand Puba swag was unmatched.
One of the best songs of the Golden Era, easily. Brilliant rhymes, flow, samples, beats, message. Everything all in place.

I was wandering if it was lip synced lol that's a shame though, I was hoping to see Brand Nubian really rip on the mic

Today's music is filled with shit
Such a subversive message behind the feelgood beat.
So out of tune with the whole setting and the inteveiwer...
Kind of bizarre...
