I really love Sonia brushes and I got my hands on the cranes collection but idk about this design just because the orange in the bristles makes me worried about how it looks for the clients because it's giving the appearance of a dirty brush (meaning like I have uncleaned brushes in my kit) which worries me... But this design is very pretty otherwise
I understand about your concern about the brush heads looking “dirty”, that has never occurred to me yet. But I always assure my clients that my brush heads are clean + they smell good. I actuallu also have the Koyudo Kakishibuzome brush set and I group them together, which serves as a visual cue that they are designed as such. Then again we all have our personal preferences. ;) I’m happy to hear you have the Sunset Cranes set! I hope you’ll enjoy them! What’s ur fave?
@@tortorre they're still being shipped out to me (i live in a country where beautylish isn't shipping so I had my friend buy and ship them out) but im excited to play with them! True maybe grouping them together is gonna make sense visual wise
Hi Tor! I love your detailed description of Sonia 's Kakishibu set with the Crane and Sky set, since I'm still on the fence about it. When you use the silver fox yoshiki highlighter brush on top of your cream concealer, do you get creams on the brush? I usually use a pressed powder puff since I'm afraid to use creams on silver fox. Thanks!
I did not pick up any of the concealer when I used the Yoshiki by Koyudo Silver Fox brush. It’s very soft and not very dense. It has very light pressure applied on the face. Plus the concealer I used is not a long wearing type of concealer that dries down immediately. It is creamy and not too liquidy, hence it sets on the skin quite nicely. You don’t have to rush in purchasing the set. Just admire it from a far. Brushes have a certain way of calling out to you. Depending on your needs. But i have to say, I have actually been using a lot of my Silver Fox brushes from cream and liquids - and I mean my Chikuhodo FO series. This brush type is described to be as soft as Squirrel and resilient as Goat and I find that they work well with these types of formulas. Esp. Creams
@@tortorre thank you for describing in detail how you work. Yes Chikihudo silver fox is great! I have most of the set, though have used only the eye shadow brushes so far. F10 by far is my favorite. It just packs on the color nicely. I have become a fude fan by appreciating how each type fits into a certain category. So far I have learned a thing or more watching your videos. I use chikihudo foundation brush and it works better than my BK101 or 109. ( I want an in between size of this is undyed goat hair or silver fox, maybe QLL customised) still on the lookout for that perfect foundation brush :)
That’s a difficult question 🤔 i am actually inclinded in using the New Fundamentals more as it has more diverse brushes in the range - like the small pencils. The Keyaki Kakishibu have more blending brushes which I actually like. The Keyaki Kakishibu set is actually a nice addition into the New Fundamentals. I use the keyaki kakishubu set together with my Koyudo Kakishibuzome eyeshadow brushes a lot.
@@tortorre thank you I love the look of the keyaki but I know the fundamentals is functional I will pick up one set and then purchase the other. Can’t do both together
