Best London video in years,thankyou!
Thanks sir
Thanks sit
Excellent
Thanks Igor !
The london is also great to have to move order between Queens Gambit and itself. starting with d4 and Nf3 wont reveal anything and if you play both you can choose on move 3 what you would like to play
Nice video, thank you
Thank you too
Really interesting thank you Igor!
Best chess coach ever 😊one video owen defense part 3
Thanks for the suggestion
Love playing this in checkers
You amazingly explain everything which brings hope to win in chess by just following tactics, you are doing great job👍
Glad you enjoy it!
At 10:27, after pushing the pawn h4, won't black simply capture it? There's a bishop + queen aiming at it.
No than you can just play queen h5 after bishop takes on h4 and you are winning😊
Reply me later😅
Could you please do a video on colorado gambit for black it seems very aggressive
Good lesson! And what about B:h4 on 10:11?
You are really good at teaching chess
Appreciate that!
I always learn so much from you. THANK YOU SO MUCH
At about 6:00, we're talking about pushing e3 before the knight to f3, but I don't understand what we're supposed to do If black plays bishop to g4 anyway, threatening the queen. Do we block it with the bishop? And then what if black trades light squared bishops? Doesn't that mess us up too?
0:25 how do you plan to develop the light square bishop to d3 if black pushes his pawn to c4?
Overall good video, but you should probably explain why Nd7 doesn’t work at 13:40 for those who don’t see it.
Nd7 doesn't work because of bishop takes c7. When the queen takes you take the rook. And if the queen doesn't take, then take the bishop.
18:22... In this position the king can still move to d8 or d7 and can take our knight after the discovered check of Nxc7+... So isn't it better if we move Nb5 instead of Nd5 so that the king won't come to protect the pawn?
Igor what do you know about alpasan move?
excelente clase master gc porfa los pgns
Hello sir, I was watching this video and I noticed that here 10:07 the pawn is hanging if you don't mind can you explain please Thank you...
Really excellent demonstration. Much appreciated!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you very much. Good luck for you.

I am currently 1200 and I have been playing a lot of queens gambit, and there are a few lines where I get a worse position. I feel like learning the london system hand in hand with queens gambit is completing your d4 opening strategies. Because the london system makes up for things that queens gambit doesn't do. Really amazing explanation.
I agree. I think Igor could be the guy that I need to get my advice from. He knows little, but important things that "1200's etc" let bypass in their head, and explains the meaning behind them.
Igor Smirnov 2 weeks ago: “Beat the London”
Igor Smirnov now: “Win with the London”
I've watched of few of your lessons and I thought this was your best. I'm not sure of the reason but I think the pace was a bit slower than normal. Good job.
👌

Brother must be awarded Nobel chess Prize ..coz He made dedicated videos
I always start my game with London system
Caruana's 4... Nh5 seems to be a great weapon for black.
Damm igor just watched this video n won 2 games in a row with it im at 980 elo so still low but this now my new favorite white opining ahead of the danish gambit i got from another one of ur videos
10:40 wouldnt white playing H4 be a bad move because of the bishop and the queen for black
I got annihilated last week trying London. Black played pawn B6 and pulled the bishop out and took my rook on move 2. It was a bloodbath. I lost in like 11 moves or something
you can always play checkers, you know...

I’ve recently come across an opponent who played 2. f6 which totally threw me. What’s the best response when trying to play the London system?
Thank you sir Ji
I enjoyed this, as a middle aged player with insufficient time and memorization ability, this suits me to a T
13:52, what if they go NA7?
12:01
I love how he says ‘now you’re a piece up and you win the game’. You haven’t seen me play yet😂
Don't feel bad, I literally just fumbled a 12 point material advantage to my nephew

My main opening is the Jobava London and I'm here studying the standard variation and I'm happy to see that the Jobava traps are still present or transitioning to The jobava from standard london is also easy
The thing about e5 move attacking White's first move d4 is, that you are gambling against literally every opening of d4, opponent can play d4 with intention of playing c4 or Nf3 or Bg5. I mean, that is more like a recommendation, how to play against every d4 than just London haha. So if you learn this sequence with e5 against d4, then you are playing against all d4 openings, which is kinda nice because it is the second most played move after e4. I'm actually struggling against d4 the most, I prefer to play king's indian defence or Nimzowitch defense with Bb4, but you cannot play it against all d4 openings, e5 just cuts it and you can always focus on the same board, because almost everyone will take that pawn od e5.
The truth is that englund is just losing on move 1 if white knows basic threats black has in that opening. When in doubt against d4 just play anti London setup or queen's gambit declined
Englund is not sound. will work at
Ok ok so if they bring their light squared bishop out to pin your knight to your Queen. What is the best way to destroy that threat?
I play the Caro-Kann against the London System, and I have had major success against it.
Best Chess App bro
I never need to deal with the London if I play the Englund Gambit instead :)
At 15:03, what if black goes queen a5, forking yor King and Knight? I just lost a game to this.
Block with pawn or queen. Knight is protected by the bishop
At 13:43 why can't Black play Nd7 to protect the rook?
edit: just realized, if black protects the rook then white could take the pawn with their bishop and then win a bishop
5. ... ND7 6. Bxc7 Qc8 7.Qxf5 Qxc7 8 Qxb5 Tc8 (only a pan can you to win)
I'm a KID player and I'm used to pushing my pawn to d6. However, if it's 1.d4 Nf6 2.Bf4 g6 3.Nc3 then I will go 3..d5, simply delaying fianchetto for one move
I still will push my bishop to g4 even if the knight isn't there. Most of the time they are so regid in the system they just move the knight three anyway. If they push the pawn that's fine as I love just not letting them get their perfect setup.
I wish Igor would tell what to do with bishop to g4..
at 10:10 minutes why cant black take the pawn with the bishop its backed by the queen.
Finally London again, thx
can we play the london system without a queen????
What am i missing here if black plays nd7?
First game why knight no h5??
H5 will be captured by Queen if white Knight moved to E5
When I play london as white, I get beat ever time.
I was here 🚶
Atmy level, they almost always do a bunch h of early sacrificing and then none of this advanced stuff is possible. Juat sayin.....trying to get to 600
Seconds
oh wow the london! haven't seen this on any channel where retired IMs try to sell some system opening garbage courses! KeEp uP tHe GrEAT wOrk
wow some freeloader complains in youtube. keep up the good work
I hate the London system. Doesn't matter how many of these I watch, every opponent I play still destroys it and somehow knows how to defend every single move I make from it.

First
Personally I think both players lose when white wins with the London 😅
I will report you to ISCF (International Serious Chess Federation) for popularizing an unaccepted opening like london. I will also file a cancelling GM title application. No serious, titled player is allowed to treat london as a legit opening.
