I... I need this game in my life. It's been so long since I played a mech strategy game, I think the last ones I played were Front Mission games on the PS1 and PS2... Just gonna hope that the system requirements aren't too cruel.
I was thinking the exact same thing. So far the only devs I've seen who can handle the yogscast are this guy, and the GTA guys (Those guys were GOOD at that XD )
I was going to say to check out DFA as well. Mitch was in charge of running the Mech damage sheets during combat, and he roleplayed the Lord Comander during the story components. just search for DFA + Hyperrpg on youtube. I'd start at season 2 just because they were a lot better by then.
Same.. i am not in mech stuff at all.. but i didn't have much else to watch so chose to give this a try.. glad i did. They are so happy ^^ And this game seems tactical enough that i can just forget that it's a mech game and just enjoy the action and decision making ^^

Of course this is turn-based, but I love it. I sincerely want this game very much :D And I remember those old Battletech sheets.. wow.. paper.. ew.. ;)
"They're all classic designs!" - Nope, these ones are probably the better end of PGI's remodelling campaign which butchered a great deal of the classics... Cyclon, I'm eyeing you up. Otherwise this is great to hear more about the SP Campaign with those little snippets and quips.
Looks like HBS included a few extra weapons on that Shadow Hawk that are not part of its TT loadout. It normally only has one medium laser and one SRM-2. But that's ok, because the default Shadow Hawk sucks.
Since the big update last week, the game has become very unstable and crashes a lot. Sometimes it won't even launch. It also hangs up regularly if I try to quit from the MAIN menu. If I "save and quit" from the campaign, it seems to shut down correctly. Weapon balance is still a big issue, with medium laser, AC10, and missile spamming doing far more damage than the equivalent weight in heavy weapons, generating less heat as well.
Yeah, gotta say that I'm late to the party, but nice to find out Lewis was checking out Battletech. I've been watching his Minecraft videos since the Jaffa Factory was getting off the ground.
I just love the extra tactical dimensions to this game. Just love it. I really really hope the game has a strong meta, like economics, base management and so on.
Shadowrun, oh dear........ The original launch of that on the xbox 360 was.... a shaky launch at best.. Then the dev says "REALLY?! Ben REALLY you actually liked it? FOR REAL? WOW! thanks!" HAHA poor guy. Finally some appreciation.
They were referring to the Shadowrun rpgs on PC. Returns, Dragonfall and Hong Kong, not the 360 FPS. Made by the same company that's making this Battletech game Harebrained Schemes.

You probably played one of the old MechCommander games. This guy (Mitch) was also one of the devs for the original MechCommander. If you go to NGNG.com, they got the source code and got it running on Win 10 perfectly. You can download it there.

I love this, its like Ben's day out with an excited developer. This is exactly the kind of developer who likes making game, and you tell how happy he is.
This was the best demo of the game I have seen. The genuine joy from Ben and the developer makes it all the better. Loved these games and can't wait to get this one. Also the Dev seems really comfortable and relaxed about the whole thing which is great! :)

You should see him drunk playing an RPG with some of his programmers, look for the "Death for Above RPG", god damn, it's hilarious.

BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception was such a dope experience back in the day.
I don't normally get too hyped for games but Battletech is an exception.
Liking a lot of the gameplay elements they're adding here. A little more tactical than Btech's classic slugfest.

No, Mechcommander was real time Battletech, its the other way around, Mechwarrior/Commander IS Battletech, that's the universe.
