  • Hammam Farah is a Palestinian Christian based in Toronto - and right now, he faces unimaginable horrors. His family are sheltering in the besieged Holy Church in Gaza - and his relatives have been brutally killed by Israel's onslaught. Here he exposes an outrageous Israeli lie - and gives a harrowing testimony about the fate of Gaza's Christians, and Palestinians in general.

As a Palestinian Christian, my heart breaks for Hammam and his family. I never thought I would see the day when governments would treat human lives less than mosquitos. What I find so depraved is the American government is supporting these atrocities, while speaking of Palestinians with such distain and dehumanization. They call us the barbarians, while pretending to be the civilized ones. In reality, the heads of western states are the most barbaric monsters that feed the killing machine of these genocidal lunatics. Shameful!

For the first time it’s hit me how cruel not allowing Palestinians the right to return is. They can’t just pick up and leave when things are bad. It’s heartbreaking. It’s also a sign of their strength. They prefer to stay and risk their lives and the lives of their kids for the sake of having the right to be on their land. True bravery.
Edit: The comments can get annoying. It’s the first time I’ve digested the extent of the cruelty. I have a history with the Palestinian plight (uncles wife is from there, I’m ethnically Lebanese and lived there as a teen, I visited one of the largest Palestinian refugee camps where uncles wife’s family is, dad’s a journalist who covered the region, etc…it does go on). It’s just sometimes things hit you deeper later. Maybe aging has something to do with it.

Gotta be very careful with what I say here, cuz TH-cam banned me for speaking about this for a day already.....
Okay, the gazans legit have no way out of that strip of land....rafah gate is closed, and the other gate is the oppressor's gate. Only thing they can do is try to swim but, yea, that won't go well at all....

I am truly shocked to hear comments here where people say they are only now realising the Palestinian situation. I grew up in South Africa under apartheid and have always known about Palestine. As early as the 70's, when I was a teenager, we read everything to do with Palestine, Israel and Saudi Arabia, and those who, through colonisation and imperialism, have affected their politics. It will behove any person with a shred of humanity to know and understand the world we live in. I suppose for South Africans of colour, it was our shared struggle that caused our interest but overtime it became a need to be aware of what was truth and or lies, especially since our government at the time lied all the time, we were living our truth in those lies.

    I can’t believe we’re watching this horrific situation in 2023 .
I wish I can wake up tomorrow thinking it was just a nightmare.
    STOP the horror.
    PEACE please

You are one of those great Humane and serious analysts that are so much needed in such an obscure moment of human history. Not only regarding Palestine but increasing use of Technology for war, vigilance, genocide and disinformation.
