260 yard driver carry. There is hope for us short hitters!!!!
Champion's Path Yeah that 204 carry was his 7 wood. Same club used for the first tee shot in the video at the long par 3 6th. 163mph ball speed with a driver is actually not low considering Andrew’s size at 5’7 150ibs.
@@vic_0315 I carry my 19 degree 7 wood just under 200 so it's reassuring the pros use it also and are not hitting it that much further than me. Now, the accuracy is another thing entirely.....
HKS For sure, there’s quite a few carrying a 7 wood now, not even only the short hitters. Bubba Watson had one back a while ago. Tho I’m pretty sure Andrew’s 7 wood is at 20.5 degree. Andrew’s swing speed is unfortunately indeed one of the slowest on tour, but yeah it does proves that accuracy overrides distance for the game of golf. 👍🏼
my son is 5'10" 136 lbs and he routinely hits it 320 plus.
Played with Andrew growing up in school tournaments and STPGA he has always been a great ball striker, I remember a tournament he was sick as a dog and still wouldn’t stay home he wanted to play so momma bear let him he shot 65 holes one from 150 yards out on par 5 amazing golfer good guy all around
His swing’s like if Zach Johnson and David Duval had a baby.
another PING winner. I'm really tempted to try some now!
Do it!
Best company out there.
Ive played that course, and it is a really long course, its incredible that someone that hit 260 with the driver and moves the 5 wood at 138mpb has just won the tournament. Incredible performance!!!
franciscoy6 No that 138mph ball speed 204 carry tee shot was his 7 wood. He hit his 5 wood off the tee on the second hole in the video at 145 mph. Certainly still not long comparing to the field but definitely not short considering he’s 5’7” & 150ibs. And also they rearranged the tees for the Stadium Course playing a little over 7100 which is shorter than PGA Tour average length at 7200. Anyhow, phenomenal performance especially after 3 bogeys in a row in the back nine.
Congratulations to Andrew, he never let up on the gas, even after 3 bogeys. Good to see both Ryan Moore and Rickie Fowler played well also.
Just for whoever wondering, that 204 carry off the tee at 12th was a 7 wood. Same club used for the par 3 in the very beginning of the video. Phenomenal performance!
I'm glad he held on to win. 3 straight bogeys but finished strong . well done Razorback
The last 2 holes man... so much guts.
AL has such buttery tempo
Well there’s a different looking swing
GoodLife 15 it’s awesome!
He relies on superior ball striking over distance. If we all improved our ball striking we could play much better.
With wind = cut | withoutwind = winner
Impressive golfing for a small guy playing amongst supermen hitting the ball 50 yards further off the tee.
He and Tiger exit WAY left. Must be something to it.
Not much hip turn on his back swing. That must lose him power.
Majors are setup for the long hitters. Shame....short knockers got tremendous game. i.e. Landry led the US Open DJ eventually won!
#LFGLANDRY
O. G. Go watch how Zach Johnson dominated and won the Masters, and Webb Simpson won the US Open. If you call them long then I have no comments.
3:10 Is this the LPGA?
Really stupid highlights:
That putt gives him a six shot lead!
Cut to very next clip…
And that putt gives him a one shot lead.
This guy is for all you wimpy men y’all can still win out on tour
?
This is BORING! The European tour is where its at. Abu Dhabi and smbc in singapore were much much better to watch.
Ed Lester, why? Not that I disagree with you, I enjoy the Euro tour more on a week to week basis, but you picked an odd week to plant that flag. First, If you enjoy the players on the Euro tour, than this week is a bad example cause the players are mixed over three events and many of the elite guys aren’t even playing. Second, Singapore is technically Asian tour. Third, none of the courses this week were exactly loaded with character.
thats easy.
