    For your readers. I sent a gasoline water pump to my brother-in-law via a balikbayan box. I labeled it accordingly and it went through customs just fine.

    All these legislation regarding bringing in cars and/or powersports vehicles are merely suggestions. What is guaranteed is the "Lagay". Otherwise you are under their mercy. You will see a lot of abandoned vehicles sa customs as owners just gave up. UNLESS may kilala ka sa loob :)

    If you want to bring a brand new car to the Philippines, go to the dealer and ask for their European or North America delivery program. They will order the specific model and specs you want from the factory and they will take care of everything to import the car for you. I did a European delivery when I bought my SL500 here in CA. MB USA European delivery program included a tour of the MB Factory to watch your car being assembled and the chance to test drive your car in Germany's autobahn. (No speed limit, yessss!) The price of the European delivery car is slightly lower than the sticker price of the car in the US dealer's showroom. However, it ends up costing me the same because I have to pay for the Tour. Oh well, the money I enjoyed wasting, IMO is not wasted money!

    Thank you so much po for all the information how to ship vehicles. It's a big help knowing how complicated or high taxes

    Sir, in my opinion, the ability to ship vehicles to the Philippines favors those who are rich. This is evident by their exemption to apply for permit to import. Naturally, if the vehicle is brand new, it has to be fully paid because encumbered vehicles are not allowed to be shipped outside the country especially the U.S. I still ask myself the question, why is an exemption for permit to import relevant only to NEW vehicles and NOT used ones? Thanks again for this super informative vlog! Well done. Tc GBU

    what about shipping a speed boat to the Philippines from California, USA. I might end up donating my boat to our municipality PNP or Coast Guard for them to use in patrolling our coast. 21' Speed boat with new engine.

    Wow, this really helps with future planning. If I understood this right VG, I'm a former PH Ctzn and currently, the U.S., retired USN, and residing in the mainland. I enjoy riding and had two Harleys and my first family car Toyota Previa it which I had in storage for 7 years and it carries so many memories with my children. I've loved to bring these Van and bikes, can I bring these? Thanks VG.

    Sir I’m glad that we can send our vehicles to the Philippines from abroad if you’re a Filipino but you never told us how we can send and what reliable transport company or movers that we can contact to arrange the shipment for us without too much hazzle or red tape. Thanks

    • @vloggergrandpa2707
      @vloggergrandpa2707  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, you have to search for that yourself depending on where you are. Without too much hassle or red tape? Well, I'm not sure about that either. I bet you will have some headache to contend with when it gets to the Philippines. Sorry.

      @@vloggergrandpa2707 If Philippines allows foreigners to become citizens of PH, would they be able to make things more efficient and less corrupt? I would like to see a new energy and mindset overtake the ineptitude of the current bureaucracy in Philippines. The country deserves better and foreigners might be the ones to smash the bureaucracy.

    I appreciate the information you have provided here, but I have been searching for someone that has a general idea of the cost of shipping a vehicle from the US to the Philippines. I want to at least be able to consider all of my options. Opinions are welcomed but I am more interested in actual details. Rough estimates are welcome as well. That will give me some idea of what I would be looking at. I do not fit in the OFW category, but I do fit in the former Filipino or spouse of a former Filipino category.
    When it comes to opinions, the last time I lived in the Philippines, I spent an incredible amount on an old vehicle that I knew nothing about. I ended up spending loads of money on that van until it was just too costly.

    Thanks for the info. The one u mentioned about assembling or for parts, maybe they are trying to shipped it as 'CKD' Completely Knock Down. It's like those importing surplus vehicles from Japan because the tax is cheaper l think. Thanks for all the info and God bless. BTW, what about for the tools and equipment like sets of sockets, wrenches, power washers, compressors, generators, etc that we accumulated?
    Are those taxables too. Thanks.

    Thanks for this good informations. I just have two questions: Do you know, how much ist the tax for vehicles. I want to bring my 29 years old Yamaha 1200 to Phjilippines, maybe the price would be now, buying used about 1.500.- USD. Can you please give me that information? There is also another question. My wife, Filipina, living with me married since 12 years in Austria, my two kids, 10 and 3 years old, dual citicens, and me, retired, austrian citicen, how much goods can we ship in a container from our household? Thanks forward.

    • @vloggergrandpa2707
      @vloggergrandpa2707  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I really don't know. That is a question for Bureau of Customs. I don't know if you also have to declare the content of a container. If I were you, I would prepare an inventory and send it all to Bureau of Customs.

    Hi sir, I'm here in Vietnam as an OFW. I plan to buy a motorcycle here but the problem is foreigners can't buy vehicles in VN instead should use a Vietnamese citizen. Will that add to the importation hassle when OR/CR is not in your name?

    • @vloggergrandpa2707
      @vloggergrandpa2707  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @JOHN JOSE LUPISAN I'm not sure. But I always suggest buying this thing from the Philippines rather than importing them--that is whether it's coming for Vietnam or elsewhere.

      @bonifacio murao Please see the link I sent earlier. Also, if that will not do, you can have them call the emergency number of the Philippine Consulate (917.294.0196) that is listed at the bottom of the link. The only problem with that is that hopefully someone will answer. Letting them check the link above, or your printed copy will be better.

      That was my understanding two or three years ago. However, based on my new video, communication should be made with the Bureau of Customs in Manila, Philippines. I'm really not sure because they keep on changing things, and they're not answering the phone for questions. Disgusting!

      Yeah it doesn’t matter if your tourist or not you can ship with us importer they will ship it in the Philippines once it in the Philippines it’s your job to figures it out how you gonna take of the port. You are only paying importer company here in the usa to shipped it They don’t freaky care how you can take it out that port in Manila you need an customs broker from the Philippines to take it out and that will be big money

      It is not practical to do that. You're better off renting at the various places you want to tour. They have A LOT motorcycle rental in the Philippines.
