Seeing this Band was an absolute privilege! The musicianship, as well as the marching/dancing prowess, is mind-boggling. To be able to play an instrument and dance/march like they do is AMAZING!
@Paul Belt At Tachibana school they train the students 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, no holidays. Each member has a 3-year tour of duty, after which they graduate at their 3rd year held usually during December. In 2005 at the suggestion of one their band member, they decided to incorporate dance moves into their program, inspired by a certain American dance show...and that's the start of the most entertaining marching band in the world. Their motto : Genki Ippai! Egao Ippai! Yume Ippai! (full of energy, smiles and dreams)

Each year's intake of students into the music club maintains the Genki Ippai! Egao Ippai! Yume Ippai! with subtle variations to the program, but the same amazing outcome is achieved.
They are/were impressive as we saw them in Pasadena, CA USA I wanted to keep their performance/talent on my video, then a fan of theirs from Japan saw my video and suggested I include the name of Kyoto Tachibana SHS Green Band and there would be many more who would enjoy seeing it! I am amazed 58,000+ views so far!

One was on soccer fan stand with male singer and another most recently shot was in studio and wear all white OD uniform and a female singer that learn to play Soprano Sax for her vid. Not easy for beginner. Happy hunting

橘だけでなくて、他チームも見れました。しかし、橘の時は観客は熱狂的歓声でした。
他チームは、普通に行進してるだけでしたので、いかに橘が輝いて見えるかその差がはっきりと分かります。
今まではあの他チームのような行進が普通だったんですよね。
橘登場以来、他チームのパレードがあまりにも地味に見えてきて、つまらなく感じますね。
