Oh my goodness the animation and delivery of this movie was WAY ahead of its time.
Notice how you can literally see Anya leading when first dancing with Dmitri even though you don't see their feet.
Two captains on a ship might create confusion. Although, two brains is better then one, it might offer valuable additions.
The animation in this film is just liquid gold.
Ya know, the artists didn’t HAVE to draw Dimitri so freakin attractive. Like LAWD.

Too bad the dress Dimitri gives her and the one she puts on don’t match. When she reveals it, it doesn’t have the white frills at the bottom.
I just noticed that when I watched the scene over again. Pretty wack. Guess the by the time the animators caught it (if they ever did) were just like "eh who's gonna notice we're too far along to change it nowwww!"
Maybe they wanted it to seem like she hated the frills and that she cut them off

I've watched this movie so many times and just now noticed that Vladimir gives them double thumbs up when they start dancing at 1:15. Also the little smile he does at them beforehand, so cute lmao

It always annoyed me how Anastasia's hair is longer here compared to how it previously was. Never understood it when I was younger, always thought she had shorter hair.
Think Nameless Doll did a video on that where it's shown that her hair is actually layered. It's just that the shorter layer is tied up with the longer layer so her "hair tie" isn't actually a hair tie, it's her hair.

Even Though Disney Bought 20th Century Fox In The Late 2010'S That Does NOT Automatically Make Her One Either Because Disney Have VERY STRICT Rules On How That Works. But That Raises A Question, How Is Merida A Disney Princess If She Was Created By A Different Company (Pixar)? That's Because At The Time Of Brave's Creation And Release Disney Had Already Acquired Pixar. Also, Prior To The Acquisition Pixar Had Always Worked As A Subsidiary Of Disney. On The Other Hand, When Anastasia Was Created And Released, 20th Century Fox And It's Subsidiaries Had Always Worked As Separate Entities From Disney, Before Disney Purchased Them. Which Is Why It Works For Merida To Be A Disney Princess, And Why It Doesn't Work For Anastasia. But Then Again Anything Is Possible, As I Do See Anastasia As More Likely To Become A Disney Princess, Than I Do Princess Leia From Star Wars. I Ain't Gonna Lie, Anastasia Does Look Like She Could Pass As A Disney Princess, Though.

I love this scene, when Dimitri gives the dress at Anya , the dance scene show us that Dimitri beggins to fall in love with Anya, they remind me Jack Dawson and Rose in Titanic , they look at them !!!!

In this scene Dimitri literally turned Anastasia from a Dorky Tomboy into a true Beauty.

When they get to the boat scene, about to dance :36.. Ariel reminds me of her. Like the way her hair falls, the color of her hair and the over sized bow. Not comparing them, love both characters and movie just and observation
Finaly there the best non disney couple who acturaly grow to love each other and not instantly like each other but from being similer of not knowing there past
The opening shot of the ship - that appears to be a WWI-vintage naval cruiser, re-painted and re-purposed as a passenger liner. Looks a lot more like a military vessel - complete with blisters on the side where turrets would have been mounted - than any passenger liner of any era. I suppose that's historically plausible, after WWI surplus Naval vessels might have been converted for passenger use.
That ship does look like a WW1 cruiser, but it’s impossible to turn a warship into a liner.

THIS is why I hate counting Anastasia in the Disney Princesses.
She is too realistic, and the animation is too. Way too good to be in a Disney fantasy.

I saw a fanart where Anastasia and Dimitri are kissing 😽 with Dimitri being shirtless and Anya is seen in her blue dress 👗 and has her hair loose, it must mean 😢 that she removes her blue hair ribbon 🎀 from her ponytail and her hair became loose
