It shouldn't though. Law is a PRACTICE. Sometimes those practices should be updated, like Medical Practices and Health. The World is growing and evolving, outdated policies and laws can sometimes be problematic. There's nothing wrong with the talk of the implementation of a New Law. Or updating a Law to create Exceptions. Or updating Policies. So as long as they are logical and reasonable, that is.
For example, the Minimum Wage was create Post-Great Depression to secure laborer's rights to the CURRENT Standard of Living. Our Standard of Living has changed yet our Minimum Wages do not reflect the change to match it. In 1940s, a PT Woman working at a Grocery Store could save for 1 - 2 Years to buy a House AND raise children. Today? You need to earn 120,000 to QUALIFY for the average house of 400,000. Most Americans earn an average of 77,000. With a Mortgage, you hope you can pay it off in 30 Years. Clearly, the Policies involving the Minimum Wage isn't thoroughly considered. Just because an increase in Minimum Wage happens, does not mean they HAVE to increase everything else, too. Prior to 1973, CEOs earned 10 - 15x that of the Normal Worker, where as in 2000 - 2024, they have earned up to 196 - 350x the Normal Worker. They LITERALLY don't HAVE to increase the prices. Farmers have stated that their Selling Price Points to Merchants have barely changed, if at all. The changes of price and it's vast, steep difference is purely with the Company and/or the Land it's on.
People avoid talk about which Policies work and which don't work in reality, so Politicians may spend millions to billions of dollars before realizing how bad it truly is THEN PEOPLE argue. Another issue is that some want it to cater to a cultish few or even particular large groups. No offense for Religion, or that which is similar, BUT we have had Separation from Church and State in Law for quite some time. The Original Version stated "One Nation, Indivisible" NOT "One Nation Under God".
There should be nothing wrong with Debate and Discussion, so as long as it doesn't yield to simple-minded profanity. Another Issue? Schools are now trained to teach students to feel bad when they express their regards if it is in opposition to the School's Administration's Teachings; and even reprimand them for it. Several Teachers have been fired for enabling Students to engage in Critical Thinking. It's miserable! Logical, Reasonable Discussions should be perfectly fine.

No one ever said the vaccine prevents covid.
What it does is lessen the severity to that of a bad cold.
