No to the canteen label, make pre-printed canteens with NBC caps. Also the H2go is one of those mission critical items that should go into a faraday bag.

Canteen labels would definitely be useful. I am moving to canteens on my body and nalgenes in my bag for the most part so if i ditched my bag i would only have canteens and or a 500ml nalgene

I'm probablt one of the few weirdos that still uses canteens. A pre-printed one of those translucent canteens would be pretty handy, and having them come with the new NBC caps would be dope.
Loved the video! Gave me lots to think about regarding water supply. Have you guys looked at P&G Purifier of Water packets? That looks like another great option for sediment removal as well as water decontamination.
You can buy Liquid IV yourself but I do like the idea of extra sealed layer of protection for emergencies.

Hi, this is Katie with Aqua Research, the manufacturer of the H2gO Purifier. The H2gO uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, like a cell phone. Cell phone batteries can typically be recharged ~500 times before the ability to hold a charge slowly diminishes. Each charge of the H2gO GLOBAL (blue label) will treat 240L (65 gals) at the standard dose, so it has a lifetime capacity of 120,000+ L of water (240L x 500 charges). (Note the H2gO can also be charged by USB or the on-board solar panel.) If you charge the H2gO once a week (i.e., say you use 9 gals of water a week), the battery would last ~10 years before the capacity to hold a charge starts diminishing. If you think of how many times you charge your cell phone (likely >500 times), the actual capacity is higher than the 500-charge spec -- it just won't be able to treat as many liters on a single charge.
Yes, you can pour the bleach into a small mouth bottle. There are pour spouts on either side of the device that effectively funnel the disinfectant solution into a fairly narrow opening.
The H2gO can also operate in below-freezing temps and meets military durability standards for freeze/thaw, shock, vibration, a 300-pound load, etc. Although the battery performance may temporarily slow down in cold weather, once the temperature goes back up, performance will return to normal. The H2gO purifier can be exposed to -4 deg F (-20 deg C) without damage, unlike most filters. Note the battery should not be CHARGED in sub-freezing temperatures, although it can still be OPERATED below freezing.

Would love to see a begin to end in field use of Cana products. Stream, collection, filtration, purification, rehydration.
Labeled bigger canteens would be nice to turn one mutant pouch into water for as long as I can find table salt. I would also go for a bladder as well just for redundancy and because I carry two bladders in my pack.
There was mention of a Nalgene bottle cap that will work with the Avon gas mask hydration system. Is that hydration system a standard or proprietary to Avon? I have not done a deep dive into gas masks yet. It would be awesome if you did a series on gas masks/ CBRN like this series. Thank you and thank you Cana, awesome and thorough information.
More recommendations for power sources on AR-1 as well as prolonged field use ideas for the AR-1. Field expedient power sources, etc.
I have a suggestion, why not just make the canteen with the printed on decals, and possibly make a titanium canteen cup and sell it as a set??

First, I’d say thank you to both parties for making this video. More quality water info needs to made on this topic of water security. As someone who recently moved not far from the Flint water shed, I can tell you the water around here is questionable at best on the good days. I’ve bought and will be testing the H2go from CANA and it’s amazing! The products they offer on their site are very thoughtful and valuable. I will be supporting them more in the future as a go-to for water kit needs.
Side note: the Grayl is a game changer water bottle system for EDC.
I dig the idea of the packaging being reusable, but I'm a little curious why it doesn't have witness marks for fluid measurement in case that was all you had to accurately measure water. I feel like it could be a genius move.

Been trying to get one of these for over a year. They are almost never in stock.
So i havent sorted out my pre filter yet.. but in an emergency i would be safe from organisms at the 2.5 ppm dose with clear stream or rain water? Excluding dangers from dyes and heavy metals which the filter would handle once i finish it.
I would be very careful, alot of filters openly state that they are not rated for Chem and the majority of heavy metal contaminates.
When taking temperature into account, are you talking ambient temp or temp of the water
Water temp. Think chemical reactions are either slowed or accelerated by the temp of the solution.
