      The Daily Mail has even hidden the story about the man arrested with a knife which sparked the affray. The news and photo are buried amongst the photos and is only deemed worthy of a small caption. It reads: “On Tuesday, a vigil was held for the victims on Lord Street. While it was going on, a man with a flick knife was arrested on Eastbank Street. On St Luke's Road, riots erupted outside a mosque -- also on Tuesday.”

    Where were these rioters police in Leeds a few weeks ago?
    Then the politicians say they will punish those who rioted but have not done that to Leeds or the two who attacked the POs in the airport. It’s two tier policing. Clear and simple.
    This shows that the British people are just as much to fear as others.

      Do you think the police will let the people at Manchester Airport get away with what they did. They take assaults on police officers very seriously. Didn’t a school boy get killed in a knife attack in Essex a few months ago. On his way to school. There was no rioting then.

    • @curiositykilledkat1
      @curiositykilledkat1 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A man with a flick knife who was known to the ‘patriots’ was quickly arrested streets away from the vigil. He was originally from Manchester and on probation in Southport. The protest was planned by people from out of town and 24 hours before that happened and people were already kicking off at the police before the news got out someone had been arrested. Locals know the lie an about asylum seeker housing in banks and hiding in the mosque is complete BS. They also weren’t primarily targeting the mosque for violence, it was the focus but the police were the main target of the violence. They could have destroyed the mosque as it was accessible the whole time, they had overwhelmed the police they destroyed the wall of the mosque, turned away from it to throw the bricks in the opposite direction at the police.

      @MovementRapha what a stupid view, you go on and say that they were transported there to cause this which they were not. I say good, there is nothing but double standards. This they're thugs over in Leeds that's unacceptable behavior.
      It started after the police apprehended a Muslim man headed to the vigil with a machete and a balaclava, clearly not part of the vigil and there to go and incite hate and kill others. That's why it started, that's why they went to the mosque.
      You know in Leeds the last census there were 497 romany gypsy's there but there were 3000 people in that riot, so we're they transported them in masks also, but in Leeds they were shouting racist chants and over 80% of the riot were not supporting the initial gripe

      Sue.This sadly is the base. I never thought I was racist. At 66 I know it's far more complex than that, it is the threat to culture, our own deep seated culture. I did an Open University degree in my 50s and I part was learning about Myanmar. The root of its problems started when many different ethnic groups were encouraged to go and work there. I know each time there is a disaster like this, who has done it. We all do. A lady just walking her dog a few days ago in the quiet Suffolk countryside at Brantham, has also been killed by 2 people not from this country. Unless there is open honest dialogue, it's just going to escalate. Its already bubbling over as seen here. I felt sick with what each politician, senior officer has been seen talking about. Its like empty platitudes. 3 little girls have been horrifically murdered on a day they were enjoying a lovely holiday activity, other little girls are seriously injured. All stabbed repeatedly. That's what happened How can it go on like this.

    This is one reason why my piss is boiling……My 11 year old child was chased by a group Muslim lads and they pulled a knife out on him and tried to stab him in the eye, he was so terrified he actually vomited in fear. I contacted the police, we had the names of the lads involved. It took the police over a week to come out, I’m sure a serious life threatening crime should be dealt with priority on the spot but it wasn’t, eventually they turned up but only to talk to my son and us, not writing down any details or taking a statement from us. They said they will have to go talk to their superior and come back in a few days for further investigation, that was a year ago now, they didn’t come back or even question the lads that did it let alone want to give us a chance to charge and make a complaint or statement. No crime number or investigation, absolutely nothing done for a serious crime. Iv not been contacted once since. Surely this is criminal behaviour from the police and against my and my kid’s rights as UK citizens, but I know exactly why this was ignored, as soon as we told them the names and ethnicity of the lads the police demeanour changed, but I bet if it was the other way around I’d of had my door kicked off it’s hinges within the hour. Disgusting also disturbing and totally let down by my own country its government and the police that are paid by us to protect us and investigate crimes. The Police involved are a disgrace to humanity.

      I'm so sorry this happened to your boy. I do hope he recovers from this truly awful experience. I understand exactly how you feel. I was attacked by 5 Muslims who told me, "when the black flag of Islam is flying over the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace all white whores will be on their knees where they belong". Fortunately for me a brave chap/hero came to my aid and chased them off. I went to the police and once I gave them a description their attitude changed. They told me I must of upset them in some way and it was my fault. Nothing was done except for the police threatening my husband telling him, if he tried to take matters into his own hands, they would come down on him like a ton of bricks. Turns out a gang of 5 Asian men were raping white women in the area where I live. I was very lucky to get away. I wish you and your family well.

    The police were very quick to send in the riot squad unlike when dealing with the riots in Manchester, maybe the demographic of the ones doing the rioting affects whether the riot squad is sent in. More 2 tier policing. Also there were 2 potential attackers arrested with machetes heading towards the vigil, and you keep telling us that there are no problems with terrorism and it is only the 'far right' that is a threat.
