As someone who was born and raised in the South, i can tell you that to me, RC Cola is not hipster soda in any way. Its the type of soda you find in those old ramshackle Trading Post type stores tucked back off the main road that always smells like hard candy and rotten wood. The best way to enjoy an RC Cola is with a Moon Pie and a sleeve of salted peanuts!

Fun fact: the reason some restaurants don't serve coke or pepsi is that getting coke or pepsi typically comes with an exclusivity contract that can kind of suck. They'll be like "if you want to serve Coke, you have to also serve our new dragonfruit Fanta" or whatever. Or Pepsi will do the same thing with Mountain Dew. Some restaurants just prefer not to deal with it and get RC or just serve sodas in cans.

Hose water has complex layers with nice tannins but the finish is rough and lingers on the palate. Of course I've only tried the '87 vintage, not sure what it's like these days.

Ice cold A. Room temp it's the worst. It gives your teeth "the squeak" and if you don't brush your teeth right afterwards you can feel the enamel dissolve. There's a reason we use it to finish stoned concrete work.
Mexican Cokes mostly use HFCS now, but the laws in Mexico allow them to still list it as "sugar." Mostly it tastes that much better because of the glass, which is the best container for sodas to be in, and not absorb any of the properties of the vessel. Plastic is the worst, as I'm sure you know.

Last year pepsiCo tried to create a Pepsi Day and a Mtn Dew Day. Doubt they will catch on. RC, Dr Pepper, and Coke have actual festivals.
Fiji is the king of bottled water. Aquafina by Pepsi is atrocious, and Dasani by coke is the absolute worst. I refuse to drink Dasani. A stagnant puddle tastes better than Dasani. Hose water on a hot summer day is S tier.

Finn, while cleaning up my appartment I use the time to listen to some of the albums that come up a lot in your videos. And man, thanks for "punishing" your audience about The Black Crown by SS!! I'm only three songs in and I already can tell that it's amazing! That rawness yet still great overall musicality, fucking great!! Production hits the exact right balance between raw and yet muscular for me, not like that overproduced ear-fatigue-causing majority of metalcore. Amazing. And knowing that they recorded this live makes me love it even more. Been listening to Sempiternal before. I know it's not your favourite by BMTH, but given it's apparently such an important and "seminal" album I thought I'd give this a spin first. Not really my thing, although I understand the appeal. Vocals sound too similar all the time. They were apparently going for the often-mentioned LP choruses, and they manage to evoke that emotion quite often. But LP achieved soooo much more sonic diversity in the vocal department with the rap and overall more different tones, and Chester is ofc almost unbeatable when it comes to raw emotion, even though Oli Sykes is very strong there, too, I think. Will check out Amo next. I liked LosT a lot, nice energetic and catchy song. Thanks once more for introducing me to some amazing artists :)
Even harder to find than regular squirt is the red one. In my first apartment I lived near one of those small water & ice shops and they had the red squirt there. I got it so much there they asked if I found it anywhere else and the son of the guy who owned it was like “yea I have no idea where we get it from”

I was actually a kid in the 90s and I didn’t remember ever seeing Popchips until recent years. I googled it and Popchips weren’t released until 2007. You weren’t a 90s kid, you don’t gotta lie to kick it.
@@riker8214 What am I thinking of then? They were like Pop chips before Popchips. Really bad, low calorie chips that were known for giving you terrible stomach issues and pulled after short amount of time.
