You are very right the Emperor doesn’t HAVE to be a Dragonborn anymore but it most certainly would help regain some lost confidence if there was a Dragonborn on the Throne again, but I’m speaking from a political viewpoint.
But Septims were made into royalty and blessed by Akatosh while other Dragonborns were from Kyne. Dragonborn is special, but I doubt they would let him on the throne. Especially now with the Thalmor thing, no way. It's funny because after Martin Emperor becomes like a President - a puppet, just a figure to look up to while someone else rules. They would pick Dragonborn because they could make him into the best pillar of morale of the Empire people, but he would have to be controlled.
@@dawidpotega882 Kyne can't make anyone Dragonborn, Dragons are not her domain, only Akatosh can make a Dragonborn... And akatosh didn't bless Tiber Septim, he set out to do what he had to do. The only line of emperors Akatosh blessed was the line of Alessia from the alessian empire, the 2 following dynasties where the result of a dragonblood line emerging

@@artorius4809 Kyne bestowed the voice on the atmorans AFTER the dragons fell out of favor from Akatosh's eyes. Although the voice contains elements that fall under Kynes sphere, the voice is inherit to the Dragons. As the Voice itself contains aspects from ALL spheres Aedric or Daedric. And she didn't truly bestow the power of the voice as much as gave the atmorans the potential to master the voice much more naturally than any other race, as the Akaviri and Mankar Cameron also wielded variants of the Thu'um. However the Voice is Inherit to the Dragons of Mundus and only the Dragons or the Dragonborn could channel it naturally. The Nords just have an easier time than everyone else. Also Kyne called on Paarthunax who pitied men, this shows that Kyne also atleast had Akatosh approval as she wouldn't have been able to interfere with the business of a Dragon on her own. Remember Kyne IS a padomaic being despite what people think and therefore she holds no control over anuic creations such as the dragons.

They might be saying the whole "We need a Dragonborn Emperor", since after the Septim line ended the Empire kind of went to shit. So they are doing the whole Make Tamerial Great Again thing.

Considering the competence of Blades and the Mythic Dawn that easily outwitted them I say they deserve it and are doomed to be extinguished if Akavir makes another invasion(There they are waging war constantly so they are much more disciplined to trash around the Empire who fell in grace during its incompetence and now time of false peace and civil wars in some parts). This really is the best time to do Akaviri invasion(Or any other major treat from outside)! TES6 pleaseeee
I mention Blades because they are supposed to be elite, if they suck then well the whole rest is just perfectly pictured in Oblivion at very easy difficulty
@@dawidpotega882 you can gain points in one handed just by watching them spar. It was essentially a small order of bodyguards against a Dominion that spand half of Tamrel.
This mod author has an incredible work ethic. Didn't expect the sequel this quick.

24:50 At the very beginning of the video, you (accidentally) activated Rigmor's follower-option by clicking on "Hey Rigmor". That's why she is sticking around. To put her back in quest-mode, select "Let's get back on track". Then she will do what she is supposed to do, like talking to her mother etc.
29:10 Jimmy Ten-FIngers appeared in RoB (Rifton, he sold you a golden amulet and the stuff for creating Jenny, the doll). He re-appeared in RoC in one of the first scenes when Sigunn had to sort out a dog-and-chicken-dispute.

13:23 The Dovahkiin suffering from amnesia isn't canon, as the Dovahkiin can enter a discussion with Serana about the Dovahkiin's parents.
This is why that line (and the fact that Inigo's like "Yeah, I seemingly hit your head a bit too hard") are odd.

In what way? The discussion about the parent alone tells us that the Dovahkiin doesn't suffer from amnesia.

I feel like the being the emperor bullet could be dodged by Abdicating the throne and then just going to Riften for a face change, if it took them four years to try track you down when they knew what you looked like It'd be next to impossible for them to find you when you look completely different, I mean sure you'd basically have to squat in the most wild of wilderness' or find some stupidly hard place to get to -like the soul cairn, Apocrypha, Soulsteim, the forgotten Vale or even blackreach- to hide away in but given enough time you could just vanish off the face of Nirn, like "wheres the dragonborn, have you seen them?" "rumor has it the last place someone saw them was Riften but that was fuckin years ago and nobody has seen them since"
I feel like the Rigmor series would be really awkward for someone playing a Female dragonborn, or it least it would be for me cus Fem to Fem preg via magical means just makes me nope in the hardest ways, just no thanks not into that it makes me so fucking uncomfortable.
also I gave my dragonborn a background so the whole "ur mum died in child birth, U dont even kno ur past" would be met with a "nah pretty sure she didn't, I remember my past just fine thanks, I just dont like talking about it cus it was boring as shit"

so much weird "lore" in this mod. There are no high kings/queens of Cyrodiil, that's a Skyrim title
It's still not really meant to be played by a female character too, most of the dialogues still refer the Dragonborn as he/his/him even if your character is a female.

At this point, you might as well wed her. If nothing else it's for political reasons. Besides, she's having your kid. Divine intervention or not, a making the mother of your child do a "Friendship Ceremony" instead of a wedding looks like you're trying to dodge your responsibility. If the Dragonborn thrown the dead body of the emperor from the ship Katariah into the water, then in this case it would’ve been eaten by the fishes and so nobody would know what happened

Arthur Morgan He’s not alive. Canonically the mod is set that you killed him during the Dark Brotherhood questline and throw the body into the sea. On the opposite for example Rigmor of Bruma must be played before the Dark Brotherhood and the Civil War of Skyrim otherwise it literally makes no sense

Arthur Morgan Dead guards don’t mean necessary dead emperor, you still need to find the body of the emperor to be sure and make the official announcement. Otherwise officially he just disappeared. But I guess like in the real world after a while you are declared dead by the law, so I believe it’s the same in Tamriel
The Time of Septim Rulers and Dragonborn Emperors might be over, but the last dragonborn is still the most powerful being on Tamriel, if not so powerful than some of the lesser aedra like mara, so it is the one to protect and rule tamriel, Otherwise the akaviri would slaughter every human and mer or/and the thalmor end mundus. The dovahkiin couldnt be used as an enforcer too, because it would be likely that a powerful person, a corrupt and lying one, would indoctrinate the dragonborn to fufill his wishes and plans. (im not a native English speaker, so please correct me if i made some mistakes.)

Hold on, if you think about it there have been many cases of "long lost children" in the Elder Scrolls universe. So, that means that the Dragonborn could be the long lost great-grandchild, or grandchild depending upon your character, of Martin Septim. What with the way that Alessia talked to the Dragonborn that shows us that the Dragonborn is in fact a long lost child of the Septim bloodline. So, with this evidence from Alessia we can tell that the Septim bloodline did not die, it in fact, hid from the eyes of Nirn and its peoples.

With the whole Dragonborn emperor thing, I think that the implication might not be that they need one for the pact and such( like you said that’s a mute point) but that seeing as you are a Dragonborn and the last known Dragonborns before you were the septims that somehow you are related to the Septim bloodline and are therefore the rightful ruler of the Empire. Just an idea, seems like a stretch but idk.
The last Dragonborn isn’t related to the septims Dragonborns are simply humans who can master shouts. Martin never had any known children before he passed

Upon reflecting on the story, and what the dragonborn embodies, it makes sense that it'd be a platonic relationship since i imagine their characters too restless

You don't need a Dragonborn to prevent an Invasion from Oblivion but you need a Dragonborn to unite Tamriel and to protect it against Akavir

Didn't you met Jimmy Ten Fingers in Riften during RoB? The guy, who got the stuff for creating Jenny? The guy with the boat, that took you back to the farmhouse? The same Jimmy Ten Fingers was supposed to fetch the diamond.
And he returns when you've finished Dragonchild.
Secondly, the Dragonborn is not just the ruler of the Empire due to the pact of Alessia and Akatosh. He/she is the ruler because they are the protector of Nirn from the Deadra. The Dragonborn is the great rallyer of the people of Tamriel. They protect the world and the people that the Divines sacrificed themselves to create. So, the Dragonborn has to be on the throne of the Empire.

You should become Emporer, having a Dragonborn ruler is not needed but will make people think twice before invading, and give your citizens a confidence booster after everything the Empire has gone through.

Ever since Martin Septim's heroic sacrifice, the Empire has been ripped asunder by these elven supremacists. The Dragonborn have the ability to foresee decisions that would culminate decades after their death, so you may not say you're Emperor material, but that's exactly what makes you Emperor material.

Thank you for asking. I'm currently in remission and seeing my doctor every few months for tests to make sure that it hasn't come back. My surgery was a year ago now and so far everything has been going well.

I think Rigmor won't move unless you send her "back on the track", she's still in follower mode (I think), or semifolower, because she was able to sit down on her own.
In my playthrough, she left with Siguun, but in few moments was back and sat down, when she mentioned the cathedral, I sent her "back on the track" and she left.
"Let's get back on the track" = turning off follower mode, switching to actor mode.

Especially if you're playing as a female Dragonborn.
The dragonblood of the Septims is different than the one of the Dragonborn. The one of the Dragonborn is more... Physical. Though in the first generarions of the emperors it was both. So... The dragonblood of the Dovahkiin makes him a legitimate contender as Emperor because it would lead to a new bloodline sanctioned by the Aedra and in this case even some Daedra.

Well, this is.... different
so within the empire of Cyrodiil there is two to three kingdoms. the kingdom of Leyawiin, the kingdom of Cyrodiil and maybe the kingdom of northern Cyrodiil. but Leyawiin and Bruma are commonly dukedoms not kingdoms thought they also most could be. so there can be a Queen of Cyrodiil and Emperor of cyrodill at the same time as they are different tittles.
What? When did that happen? There's no king in Cyrodiil, not since the Interregnum. Leyawiin has never been a kingdom (it's not even considered as a part of Cyrodiil until the Third Era), if anything Skingrad, Kvatch, and Anvil were kingdoms.
Feel free to refute me as I haven't checked the lore for quite a while.

That being said, what about if you choose to kill the Dark Brotherhood instead of joining? Would Titus Mede II still die by the dragonborn's hand in the game? I've always just joined the Brotherhood so I'm clueless of that..

The whole emperor and queen of cyrodiil thing is kinda like the UK having a prime minister while there is a queen/monarchy
Hard disagree on the pact with Akatosh no longer being needed.
1• The gates of oblivion were supposed to be sealed shut.
But then in the Great War Lord Narifin was able to use the Culling to summon armies of Daedra in Cyrodill in an attempt to defeat the Legions at the battle of the Red Ring.
2• The purpose of the pact and formation of the Empire wasn’t to simply stop the Daedra.
It was to end the subjugation of Man by the Ayleid Elves. Considering the threat the Dominion poses and the views they hold, I’d say the pact with Akatosh is definitely not irrelevant.

I dis agree with your point of not needing a dragonborn emperor. As i understand it ever since martin septim sacrificed himself the daedra have been ever more present on tamreil. I mean like fam we see a daedra lord(barbas) physically walking around in falkreath. Without a dragonborn emperor such events will only become more common. However i suppose we will have to wait for the next elder scrolls game to see if it actually is true or not.
First thing I would do as Emperor is have Rigmor Executed, Way to annoying.

Whoever can kill the thalmor should be emperor
If the Dragonfires were relight the gates of Oblivion would be sealed forever and the Daedra could never again renter Nirn. Thereby protecting Nirn forever from the influenece of the Daedra. Since the Deadra could never again enter Nirn that means that they could never again hold sway over the events that will happen in Nirns history.
The "Dragonborn" emperor might as well be a tradition at this point, like turkey on Christmas. You know, if you play a Female Dragonborn, Rigmor still gets pregnant... because Daedric Princes are hermaphrodites, apparently, and that has to make sense... somehow... even though the Dovahkiin is an Avatar of Shor, not a Daedra.
