Hello Moidawg, I was the TC for the final rounds in Colmar and Rethymo. I’ve been playing since 2018, primarily as a tank commander with some experience in logistics. I want to clarify that neither I nor my crew engaged in stream sniping or anything similar. Most of your deaths during those games could have been avoided with some adjustments. One habit I’ve noticed is that you tend to stay in one position for too long. Bombs are indeed strong right now, but they’ve always been that way in this game. For example, in Colmar, when you were in the Matilda near the airfield, you held position on the stone wall while engaging my Pz. II. A better move would’ve been to reposition the Matilda onto the airstrip. Its armor is strong enough to withstand the Pz. II, which can only effectively damage your barrel at close range. I like to follow the 1944 Soviet Manual for Medium Tanks: • On attack: Stay stationary for 3-4 aimed shots, then move 50-100m to avoid being zeroed in on. • On defense: Always aim for keyhole positions to minimize exposure. If keyholes aren’t viable, maintain mobility to avoid becoming a predictable target. Regarding the engagement at hour 4, minute 12, when your tank was destroyed: your crew drove within 100m of an enemy FOB and remained stationary for around three minutes after being spotted by the commander. This made you an easy target. Here’s another critical tip: Always stay near friendly infantry within the current objective area. Even if you lack a repair station, being with infantry acts as a screen. While infantry may not always be reliable, they’re expendable and provide valuable intel. Tanks engaging objectives tend to reveal their position by firing on infantry, which your crew should be able to detect. Lastly, remember that in this game, a tank’s primary role is to support infantry by engaging enemy forces, not solely focusing on tank-vs-tank battles. Those engagements can be unpredictable due to mechanics like APHE phasing or inverted armor bugs, so maintaining a supportive role will often yield better results. With the final part of the jagdtiger and M4A3E8, we shot out the cannon barrel on the vehicle making it useless for the mean time until I spotted you. You are the priority target the next danger a TC should always be predicting and guessing what the next threat is, the gunner and hull gunner should be dealing with the current threat. Make sure you stay in your hatch buttoned up all the time, never leave your tank until you are a mobility kill. Thank you for your server. Have a merry Christmas!
I’ve got 300 hours in HLL and Its just a different style of game then squad 44. I’m enjoying squad 44 much more than I did HLL despite the bugs. The devs are working much harder on squad 44 also so that’s great! Also I was the squad leader when you first joined that was like my 4th game! I’m enjoying it!
No. The optimization of this game is extremely poor. With an i3-1200f paired with an RTX 2060 and DLSS, it cannot stably run at 60fps in the lowest graphics quality. There will be sudden stutters during your gameplay.
Hey y'all, I'm more familiar with warthunder, has this game added heat, SAP, APHE Balistic capped, soldshot, APCR, and the like? Or is it more like world of tanks with only AP, and HE?
@ depends on what tank, tiger 1 and Sherman’s yes since there is auto ricochet encoded into the game. It’s a case by case basis, just don’t angle too much and can show ammo.

It has heat, sap, aphebc apbc, apcr, etc. it’s like war thunder but the damage can be unpredictable unless using solid shot.
@seannewberry7148 is angling armor and the like helpful as well?

Pretty sure I was in there for a second
