  • In this video I visit 4 great photography locations in Connemara... Lough Inagh, Doolough Harbour, Pine Tree Island in Derryclare lake and Roundstone bog. I look at the tragic history of Doolough Harbour and provide some ideas on some of the best photography compositions at each of the locations I visit.

Enjoyed the vlog Damien. Some great effects at the start especially the rain and lovely to see this beautiful part of the country. We traveled to Doolough in 2018 and there wasn’t a boat in sight. Lovely photos in the vlog also, F.

@@damienjackson7174 it was late October. I was on Mid term Beeak and Darren Lane and myself headed to Clare, Galway and Mayo. Mayo is a great spot

Great area for a camera. Took a run down there and stayed in Leenane last October for a couple of days. Was at Doo Lough harbour but no boats! But got to Aasleagh Falls before the tourists.

Thanks John, I was caught without the boats myself, think they take them out end of September. Agree some great opportunities for photos. Thanks very much for watching!

A cracking video Darren. Just stumbled across your channel. I'm familiar with those locations and you got some very nice images there. I especially liked your last Lough Inagh boathouse image. That's a terrific idea with the photo ephemeris app inclusion in your video and you really outlined your strategy and thought process behind each shot. You've just got a sub from me. Great video. Regards, Robert.
