    I really enjoyed your WIPS - and the thoughts you had on them, it’s way more fun to know what drew you to a chart or precipitated a colour change than just “I stitched this on a 90ct dishcloth with strings from my horses tail” - I hope you find the perfect fabric for HAHRH because she is a stunner! - take care, Nic x

    I enjoyed looking at your WIPS so much. I always get ideas and sometimes even have an idea to pass on. In this case I broke a thread on a project I had too much progress on to toss, so I pulled out a thread from the margin and wove it through the linen on both sides of the hole like darning, and when I finished stitching the area, the mend was covered by stitches and totally hidden!

    Hi Megan, I’m so glad you started your Flosstube channel this year! I love your energy and vibe and all of your projects are beautiful. Congrats on cutting the extra fabric off all of your pieces. That must have felt good. I love the satisfaction of organizing and consolidating. I ditched a couple of my WIPs for the new year, too. I felt a tiny bit of weight lifting from my shoulders so I knew it was the right decision. Best wishes in the new year. ~ Lauren from NH

      Thank you so much for the support! You are absolutely right. It’s nice to actually know what fabrics I have to pull from too. A lot of the time I’m like I thinkkkk I have this but it’s still in a bag as a WIP. 😆💓 it is satisfying to get those projects you know you won’t work on off the roster. I know I want to restart a couple this year for sure but with better fabrics for the stitches. Some of them just didn’t work and that’s okay. All part of leaning I guess lol.

    Just found your channel, and I can tell I have a lot of prior episodes to watch now! 😊. Loved all of your WIPs! I never considered myself a Lavender & Lace girl, but I’m LOVING that Christmas one. I have to add that to my list!! Great video!

    OMG Megan I just realized I totally forgot to leave a comment, even though I watched the video a week ago!!! 🤦🏼‍♀ I'm the worst! Anyways, your WIP Parade was seriously awesome! It was really nice to see everything all laid out and I definitely added some more to my want-to-stitch/want to make list! I really need to finish the project bag I started with the suffragette fabric you sent me, especially so I can kit up that suffrage act piece! Every time you show it I absolutely love it! I'm so glad we both joined this community this year and that I can call you friend! Thank you for sharing!!! Happy New Year! ❤

    Lavender and Lace is not out of print. There’s one woman who’s name I can’t remember, but she was given all of the printing rights when the designer passed. So she prints them all, and I know she’s been very busy lately and is backlogged. So keep an eye out for that pattern you’re wanting, and don’t bother paying an arm and a leg on eBay or anything for it. If you search around the cross stitch groups, and the Mirabilia groups (the L&L designer is the mother of the Mirabilia designer Nora Corbett), you should be able to find her and let her know you’re wanting it!

    • @TheSeattleStitcher
      @TheSeattleStitcher  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much! I have been keeping an eye out on everything cross stitch but the one I want has been out of stock for months. 🤞🏻 hopefully I can find it in one of those groups gently used. That would be awesome!

    Just found your flosstube and am loving it! Try treating your thread when you are stitching on Lambswool. You can use beeswax or thread magic, and it might keep it from shredding so much. Thanks for sharing all of your WIPs!

    • @TheSeattleStitcher
      @TheSeattleStitcher  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, Shelly! I totally have some thread magic too I just have yet to use it. I was wondering how well it would work. Definitely going to give it a shot next time I stitch on the lambswool.

    Hi! I just found your flosstube today, and I have to say, I can't believe you only just started stitching in 2022!! Amazing! You stitch like you've been doing it for years! Anyway, I was watching, and you mentioned the Lavender and Lace pattern of the kids decorating the Christmas tree - well guess what I am stitching on right now! It's called Oh Christmas Tree, and it is one of the first patterns I ever bought years ago, but never got around to stitching till now. I love your bags, and your wips too. Great WIP Parade. Have a beautiful holiday!

You’re so lucky to have it. I can’t find it in stock anywhere. Fingers crossed I can snag it before next Christmas. I hope you had an amazing holiday season. Happy stitching, my new friend. ❤️❤️

    You can salvage your Autumn Cloche in either of 2 ways. 1. Don't add the cloche base and remove the already stitched glass cloche. That would give you room for finishing. If you choose to do this you might loosen up the location of the butterflies on the piece. 2. Stitch it as a Cloche and when it's completed sew on a border of complimentary fabric as if it was the center of a quilt block.

    • @TheSeattleStitcher
      @TheSeattleStitcher  ปีที่แล้ว

      I was thinking about not stitching that bottom piece. I like it but I feel like it’s not necessary for the overall look of the piece. I might try to stitch the complete bottom to see how close I get to border but I will really be right up on it. I feel like that’s more common in antique pieces not modern. I like the idea of the complimentary fabric I may do that! I have enough of other linen fabrics in stash and I might just restart it. I feel like I’m not so far in that I wouldn’t restart. Such a tough choice! Lol I’ll probably decide in the new year 😆💓

    • @TheSeattleStitcher
      @TheSeattleStitcher  ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually have thought about it. It’s not THAT much stitching that I have done and I do think the piece would be amazing on last months Be stitch me fabric of the month. Portobello was the colorway. I might restart it next year or even buy the called for fabric. I love the piece! Regret cutting my fabric 😅❤️

    I stitched Hocus Pocus by The Prairie Schooler on the called-for Witchelt Lambswool and I couldn't stand the fabric! It was just really hard to stitch on. I found the threads very uneven and the fabric flimsy. It was hard to keep it stretched and I kept accidentally going over three instead of over two

    • @TheSeattleStitcher
      @TheSeattleStitcher  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! I do not know what todo. I’m honestly debating restarting it. Maybe even just 1x2 because the 2x2 sucks. I just love the look so much 😩. It really is an awesome neutral color and I love it so much, it just is awful to stitch on.
