First off thanks again Old Skule. Sorry I missed the end of the reaction on Twitch, my phone died. I've been following these young ladies for about 3 years, and they've come a long way. They started out as a project of a popular Ukrainian artist 5 years ago ( when they were really young) That music had a ton of potential, like so many young artists like Liliac and The Warning did once. It was really good, but what makes music great is finding your own identity. Then the invasion happened and after being scared for them, and learning they were safe in Germany I didn't much expect them to go on. But they got back together, and kept going, and found that identity. They're wonderful artists, they've raised money for Ukrainian children, but I respect them most for simply refusing to quit. Great reaction!
I just heard about this band from a The Warning fan (I am one too), and listened to them for the first time yesterday, and was floored. They're so good, and each song is unique. I hope they get some love and support, they are living through hard times, and still keep pushing through making great music. I just joined their Patreon, and am trying to get the word out. The world needs to hear about this band! I felt the same way about three sisters from Mexico. :)
Thanks for the reaction to The Sixsters! I found them about 5 years ago and I've been following their evolution and trying to help make their work known. The band, despite all the obstacles they have encountered, have never given up on their goals and, for me, with this song they have just risen to a new level!
Nice reaction and thanks so much for all your great comments. Been following them a long time and support them on Patreon. Maria did a great job with the vocals and they are all so talented on their instruments to make this very cool original song, and don't they look beautiful as they rock this out?! ❤🥰
I've been following them for a few years, and it's great to see them getting more attention. With their first English language album from last year - I'm Gonna Be - and these new songs, they're really coming into their own. I saw them at the Glastonbury festival and they can definitely rock it live. They opened up the Woodsies stage on the Friday morning and really got the crowd going - lots of good comments from those around us who'd never heard of them before. Pity the BBC didn't record them, but maybe next time. They then did a couple of charity gigs in London - see the Kids Rock For Kids channel for a couple of songs from those gigs.
Glad you enjoyed The Sixsters, hope you react to more of them. These Ladies are extremely talented. I agree with @fredbarnes2600, they have found their own identity these last couple of years and their song writing is just outstanding. Kate drums - self taught ; Maya keyboards, backing vocals; Polina bass, backing vocals; Anna lead guitar, backing vocals; Marie vocals, rhythm guitar. All their songs sound very different from one another, from light hearted fun to even more serious than this one, but there all good. they recently played a big festival in England so hopefully they will get more of the attention they deserve. 😀
I've known about these girls for at least 3 years now and they just keep delivering hit after hit, the Sixsters rock. My favorite song from them is "Fever". 🥰
Great job with your reaction and thoughts on the video from The Sixsters For Us and For Me. The young girl playing the piano also plays the keyboard from them and there Lead Singer also plays guitar in some of there other songs.
The singer was originally brought in to play rhythm and back up vocal 2 years ago. she is actually and piano player. She took on lead vocals after the singer left and also played both lead and rhythm for a time when Anya could not be with them , She also now writes the lyrics. Maria is a true musical genius
Hey O.S.N ... Long time subby. I just found this band (01 June) ... I wanted to let you know but your already on to it. Can you have a gig at "Feels" and/or "Hold". It's another rabbit hole to dive into - They're great. Darren from Aust.
Around the 7:38 mark you said "I'm so excited, that I"..... Thought you were going to finish it with "just can't hide it." Very nice review. I really like them.
On top of their great songs and great playing, this song is special because (I think) it honestly expresses the hardships they have endured -- the war, becoming refugees, and being high school girls when all this was happening. You can't help feeling singer Maria's pain -- she's just letting it all out. Amaze yourself, and see how they bring out their joy, humor and sense of fun in "Seem to Dance." The last thing you'd think is these are girls who just had their lives torn to pieces a year before. Their range is incredible.
You are right. I know old metal heads from the 80s and 90s who's brains shut down before 2000 and aren't even aware of all the other metal bands since, let alone any female musicians.
When it comes to girl rock bands, I believe The Runaways started it back in the 70's followed by Fanny. I personally love female rock bands because for the most part they kick ass as well as the big boys. I am huge fan of The Warning as well as these ladies who I discovered about 2 years ago. It's rare that a band can have a catalog of original songs where there isn't a single one that I don't like. They are great musicians, great people, and with Anna being the oldest at 21, they have a helluva future ahead of them. They just need to be heard and promoted.
@@OldSkuleNerdit's not just here it is all over. Thanks for asking. Been band from posting before but never get told for what. Do you know how to find out?

I really enjoyed this song. 👍
First thing that came to mind for me was this could be a James Bond theme song. I like it a lot!

Interesting you bring up The Warning as there was talk of the Sixters opening for The Warning in Berlin. But it never worked out.
I think what you are trying to say is that they are their own genre.
Paulina on bass has been playing bass less then a year

Don't know why my comments don't get posted or taken down
Which one?
