A very wonderful and fun show I grew up with...and it was one of the shows I learned the English language. Sending out little prayer and positive healing vibes to their family. Bewitched debuted 14 years and ended 6 years before I was born. I caught it in reruns when it began airing in syndication in the 80s and came to be one of my favs, too.
What makes BEWITCHED such an enduring delight are ALL of the actors and actresses, main and guests. Let's not fiorget the Lawrence twins who played Adam. They're still living. The death of David White is particularly sad. His son was killed in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 in 1988. I don't think he ever got over it. His remains (cremated) are with his son in a mausoleum in California. My favorite character and actress is Samantha and Elizabeth Montgomery, respectively. She brought Samantha to life, giving her a charm, a caring nature, and intelligence. Liz was the heart of BEWITCHED, appearing in all 254 episodes.
That intro blurb photo of a young Elisabeth is legit.The other which I presume is supposedly her on her deathbed is just plain disrespectful and not her..Sometimes these posts are just obscenlely obvious and ugly graps to mislead viewers into looking at a grab-me that is clearly unauthentic.
What I remember is how Samantha would gently express her disappointment in Darren's behavior instead of flying into rages or blasting him to smithereens (which he so often deserved). My childhood was very volatile and traumatic...she showed that one could fight without devolving into screaming or violence.

I loved this show when I was young. But you left out Uncle Arthur played by the very funny Paul Lynde. He was hilarious!! And I also loved Elizabeth Montgomery's portrayal of Samantha's cousin, Serena. It was a 180 portrayal from Samantha, which I found very amusing. Serena was sassy, selfish, and very "hip". Great contrast to Samantha. I also enjoyed Esmerelda played by Alice Ghostly, who went on to play another role in the show Designing Women. She played Bernice, a wonderfully quirky woman who spoke her mind in the funniest ways. As Julia once said, "her arterial flow" had been affected. Haha!
Our family watched this show at its time to come on. We all were mesmerized by the witchy things that could happen. You didn't know what would happen next. Or who would be shown next. It was a true family favorite show❤❤❤❤❤
It was the TV series of my childhood, I was in the 5th grade of primary school, if I'm not mistaken, it was broadcast on Fridays before the news in our country, Turkey, I was waiting impatiently for Fridays, I especially wanted the episodes with "Endora"🥰🥰🥰
...not exactly tragically did they pass away, but because of serious illnesses. I guess it was before people began to understand the need of raising awareness of cancer issues... Good people will always stay in the hearts of those who live on. 💞
You forgot the most important Louise Tate! The original!! Irene Vernon! The first two years were the best .When you research a project, don’t forget to include all major players in a show. You don’t say ‘With profound sadness’ when someone has been dead for over a year. You simply say she died.
I think it's cruel to show actors or actresses when they were at the top of their Careers, then show them weak and sick. Anyone who gets satisfaction out of such photo is sick.
I agree. As I watched this video and saw the pictures of them back then, followed by pictures when they were much older kind of broke my heart. I'd rather remember them all as they were then. Fun show! Very different for that time period. Who doesn't like a little fun magic?

There was only 1 Darrin - the original one. I couldn't watch it after the change.
