Yes bro it was a crazzy day .and I wanted to show exactly why ..yes man looking at that part myself gets me going and brings a smile to my face...it sure was an Epic day!!💯💯🤙
My boys were cheering for David the way we cheer for the Eagles!!!! (I was born in raised in and around Philadelphia, but live in the DFW area now). That alone makes this one of the greatest videos we've ever watched in TH-cam. It was awesome to see David get redemption after losing a fish. God Bless all of you!
@davidbassler6531 thanks brother! Yea, man, he really deserved that fish and fought for it aswell.. il let him know he had a comment just for him. god bless you also 🙏🤙
Video is a bit long ! But man every part is action packed till the end 🔥 hope yall enjoy🤙 if you missed part 1 ..here is the link for it th-cam.com/video/0A26Mj2QkCA/w-d-xo.html
You kiddin’? A bit long? Action like that I could stand to watch for a few hours…. But when are you gonna get a spare support battery, so someone can video the walk out to the end of the south jetty…. It’s just a short walk anyway. To add more time you could video walking back… seriously though, a little more info, the full date, time of day. Conditions, rigs, baits, and maybe a few girlfriend deck decorations. 10 sq inches of swimsuit is fair. But no more…..
Hey, what's up, brother !! Man, what a blast to hear the way your day unfolded .. you came down..saw me greeted me, hooked up on some big fish, and walked off the jetty accomplished. That was awesome, man!
I Loved this video!! Y’all mopped up on the big ones!! Congratulations y’all!! Great job! How big of redfish you get to keep and what size is throwback??
Hey bro 🤙 Your fishing pole setup looks sick. What reel and pole are you using? Also do you connect the braid to the swivel and leader to spoon? Thanks
@@southtexasfishingfam3436 Thank you so much! So basically it's not really needed for a 6k reel for these type of fishes that were caught in this video?
@anonymousltx48 a 6 k is definitely needed ..5500 from Penn is the least.. I prefer a 6k ..in shimano I use a 8k.. the old diawa bg 5k is perfect because the spool size ..however thing have changed over the years reel wise ..and the daiwa bg is not made anymore ..it is now a mq which is a way smaller spool you will need a 6 or 8k
Guys, good videos. Haven’t been on the Port A Jetty for right at 35 years now…. I would like to recommend the complete date. Time of day, weather conditions , and if possible a fishing report or update from around the area if you have one that is…. Your baits and rigs too…
How old is David? I'm only midway through the show but I hope he gets his before the end. Omg 😃 I ❤️ed seeing David bringing in the jack . I'm so happy for him.
Some folks say if you prepare them good amd the right cuts of it its not bad ..but personally it's not a good fish to eat at all way too bloody ..it is good, however for shark bait!! Excellent bait. And thats what they will be used for
Try packery channel in the surf with live shrimp on a Carolin rig ..or port a with 3 way rig gold weight and cut mullet or live ..pinfish will work aswell or crabs

I aspire to be as bada$$ as David. I've been fishing as long as I can remember, but we live in SA so fishing usually just happened once a year. We'd go to Corpus or Port A or Rockport. While my brother went to A&M Corpus we were able to go down there more often. It turned into what we would do for my birthday. Then that stopped. My brother and I are heading down next week (9/3/24 - 9/5/24) for my 36th (☠) birthday. Due to my moms health the parent's aren't coming with. We've never been very successful anyway. Only being there a few days a year, it's hard to learn the right spots at the right times at the right tides, along with the right bait and the right hook. I want to be able to come back with new information that can help my parents be successful, if my mom is ever able to make it back again. Any advice for current/next week conditions, from anyone, appreciated. We usually do basic sinkers or basic floaters (after watching a ton of youtubers teaching things I now know there are so many varieties). We've done a ton of Red Dot and Packery, with really not much luck at all. Usually we use live shrimp, that dies quickly. Now that I actually breed fish and understand the nitrogen cycle I think I can keep them alive longer; otherwise I've learned about salted shrimp. Long story long, for Packery or a new spot I wanna try, Roberts Point Park in Port A, what's hitting right now? (I know that's a loaded question...)
"WOW " Ray , an hour worth of big bull reds & Jack's, loved David fighting the big Jack , that wuz an Epic day

Appreciate ya🙏 and 20 to 28 is keeper. The rest get released unless you use your tag. However, I find myself hardly using my tags, to be honest.
Hey bro 🤙 Your fishing pole setup looks sick. What reel and pole are you using?
Also do you connect the braid to the swivel and leader to spoon?

Daiwa coastal surf sp.
Daiwa bg 5k
I run 50 to 150 fluorocarbon with a Albright knot.. then my floro to spoon I have a swivle on my spoon

Awesome fishing and what size of spoon were you using
3 oz
Are the bull reds good to eat looks like fun
It was fun and the bullreds lol I'd rather not eath them. Unless you like tough meat and some worms .. they are better for spawning 🤙
What size Real you using looks like a 600?
Yes I try not to use anything under a 6 k has to hold 300 yards of 50 pound braid preferably
🔥
💯💯🙏🤙
What lures are yall guys using ,i woke upabout 3 am and was dreaming of catching some fish
In this video we prettyuch all used the 3 oz silver spoon I did use a bucktail aswell on one fish
What are you guys using live bait or lures to catch them beauty fish
Mainly lures (3 oz silver spoons)..however had bait out for sharks and it got picked up by big redfish instead
Super cool video bud! 🤩🤩🤩
What size braid do you recommend to catch bull reds at the jetties brotha?
Thanks and keep popping out bangers! 👍🎣🐟🔥

Love the vids. What reel are you using or would you recommend for the jetties going after those reds
I woukd say a 6k reel any budget friendly one will work like a pen battle ..a saragosa ..a slammer 5500
do you mind me asking what jetties or area of texas coast you are fishing at?
Port Aransas 🤙
I’ve had zero luck catching Reds
Only trout!😭
What do you recommend for lure wise or bait
And what spots exactly
Try packery channel in the surf with live shrimp on a Carolin rig ..or port a with 3 way rig gold weight and cut mullet or live ..pinfish will work aswell or crabs
