I paid $500 for mine $100 to tow it home $300 for a clutch hour and half to install it had a 120,000 miles on it now it has 210,000 . Spent some time restoring the paint which was easy ,added a front bumper new ac compressor all new suspension in the front and rear did the timing on it new water pump oil pump fixed the sunroof added a system to it tinted the windows currently on stock wheels but those are about to go here soon .. I have had this car for about 6 years now and I daily drive it by far one of the best cars I have owned it never lets me down just.. every time I take it out someone allways gives the thumbs up has a story to tell me or they wanna race lol and I have other vehicles to drive I just like driving this one .. I would definitely say it’s priceless

Best thing to do is go on these auto market places and look at what they are being sold for, not priced at. You can ask for anything you want but what people are paying matters. That is the easiest way to see what your car is worth, and what the collector car places use. For the really expensive cars they base it off what they recently sold for in auction. A vehicle is worth whatever it is worth to the person standing in front of you; when you are selling of course. The next person may value it more, the same or less.

Yes that’s very true, definitely a good idea checking for what they’ve sold for not just listed at!

@@RostenDrives Yes. I know both Ebay and Facebook marketplace allow you to filter and search what has sold. Part of the problem with the value of these cars is the people who love them have been low balling sellers for decades. How will anyone value them if the people who love them do not even value them enough to provide a decent offer?

I guess 700$ wasn't bad for my non-running '93 SL with half a car worth of extra parts, just gotta finish the timing job on it and do brakes and tires

I bought my 92 VR4 for 10k back in 2015 with 51k miles on it. It's now at 75k miles and has a new paint job and custom wheels.
If I were to sell it, what price should I be looking at? I've spent over 30k on the car over the years...
I also have most of the OEM parts I took off, minus the exhaust.

I paid $10k and change on my 93 vr4 around the same time with 83k miles. Really depends on the quality, and whether any (however minor) body damage was also corrected. I'm spending 30k just on body and paint on mine right now, and wouldn't sell it for less than that, but it's also pretty much mint other than the body and paint, that soon will be as well. Not that I have any interest in selling it, but I feel like it would be worth 30k, certainly over 20k. Yours is a 92, which may hurt it's value somewhat, as well as narrow the market for it. Most people seem to prefer the 2nd gens, and the people who want a 1g and know anything, know that a 93 is the year to get, it's one of the things I was unwilling to settle on because I'm going to build it and didn't want the weaker 2 bolt engine or driveline, but it is a 3k rather than a Stealth, which helps, and obviously worth more than an SL or base model. Some of them have moonroofs, but I honestly don't know how many people care about that, for me it was a must. If yours is well kept, stock or tastefully modded with quality parts by someone who knew what they were doing, and the paint job was at least decent...$5k or more, not Maaco....then I'd guess around $20k without seeing it, maybe more, really depending on the condition, and again, the quality of the paint. If you like the car, the smart thing is to keep it and enjoy it imo. If I had to, I would get rid of every other vehicle in my stable before my 3k vr4, it's my pride and joy and was one of my realistically obtainable dream cars. Color is also a factor I believe, over 50% of them are red from the factory, black ones seem to carry a little bit of a premium, yellow would for the right buyer, etc.
