Today, I'm putting two very expensive hair dryers one-to-one: Dyson Aiwrap with soft smoothing brush attachment (Complete package retails $549) vs Revair ($439) hair dryer. I've used both hair dryers on their own and have several things to share on what I love and dislike about each tool. Which tool styled my hair better?

That revair looks like something from the 50s/60s
Think you're not supposed to move the Revair back and forth, but rather keep it in place. That may be why it frizzed. Great review though!
I think Dyson is great tor straight, fine hair. RevAir seems to be for people with curly hair. I can’t wait to buy it!!
I preferred the Revair side, is sleeker, more straighter and less frizz and fly aways than the Dyson side
You’re not supposed to pump the revair and that’s probably the reason you’re getting frizz. You’re supposed to just hold it and let it do it. Also there are different settings you can try. If you are reviewing a product you should read and follow the directions so we can have a good idea of how it works when used correctly.
You are suppose to DAB the dryer, not just let it sit there.
The company instruction is to let it sit there….the other commenter is correct. I have had one for 3 years.
I would suggest a black or dark background for your hair vids. Would be able to see your hair so much better given it’s quite blonde now. The blonde just kind of blurs into your white background. No hate! Love your videos, they’re always so helpful. I bought the Revlon One-Step Volumizer Hair Dryer last Christmas because of you, and I haven’t went back to a regular blow dryer since! 💜

You mean it’s faster to fry hair that is drying on its own while you dry the other side with the wrong technique. You were against this item from the beginning mouthing about it right off the start.
Not everyone was lucky enough to have your normal hair. You can’t juggle it by not holding it there and actually letting it dry.
I’ve been watching a lot of videos on this product, I have fine hair, I do tend to agree there was user error on the RevAir side, especially from watching other videos. I’d still hesitate to purchase due to cost/and i think I’d find it awkward to use for me. I also kinda like my brush dryer/Dyson diffuser when drying. May eventually consider either the Shark/Dyson displayed in the future.

Milabu, love your hair videos and make up tutorials. As far as this one....RevAir takes naturally curly hair (which you don't have) to silky straight like nothing else on the earth. And, because it closes your hair cuticle it locks out frizz. If you are looking for volume and heat damage 🔥 isn't an issue; Dyson Airwrap is a good choice 😉. Just the fact that my 9 year old niece 👩🏽🦱 can use RevAir on her own to take her coily hair to straightness in 20 min vs 60 min with a blow dryer is HUGE! 💕
That’s amazing!!! I also did the revair on my sister in law and she had extremely thick hair and it did incredible with her hair :)
...you have to be pretty adept, strong and agile at handling that very oversized dryer brush!
How many times do you have to experience your hair helplessly entwined in a brush, that takes a lot of time (!! especially if your in a hurry!!) to pull, tug and even cut your hair, to free it from a dangling, heavy, oversized hair brush dryer, stuck in your “crowning glory?”
Once is too many!
Plus it leaves you with anxiety, in stead of being confident, EVERY single time you need to dry your hair!
(OMG Forbid being in a rush!) You will never be able to correct any damage done to overheating, it kinks up
and leaves your hair very DULL and in uncontrollably fly away
snarls!
I wouldn’t give my mother or best friend a dyson dryer, I cant even GIVE away the one I had such a bad irreparable experience with!
Revair has given me back the confidence of knowing, no matter how rushed i am, that my hair drying experience will ALWAYS leave me with a Happy Ending, of healthier and shiny hair!

I agree the revair was designed for people with more complicated hair textures to make it easier for us. And also to alleviate the damage and time of course
I agree. The revair works better for the more “hard to straighten” hair textures. Blow drying highly textured hair is a lot harder and more damaging due to tangles in the hair that cause snagging and breakage while brushing plus the higher heat that is needed. The revair is a godsend because it actually solves a lot of issues that come along with blow drying textured hair.

Then picture taking that sucker out every time to do your hair...then put it away, repeat...
And it takes so long to do just one piece and it makes ur hair frizzy so it wouldn’t work for curly girls... and it SOOO loud

When the revair first came out, they used a higher suction. Also it says at what suction speed you need to hold your hair there for. There's definitely a lower suction speed being used here!
You really can't compare the two because the Dyson has a brush . Of course it's going to be different.
Always enjoy your video reviews. I have thick, wavy, silver hair. I use the Revair to dry my hair almost completely, but then finish it off with a blow dryer and round brush. This way, I'm only using a small amount of heat for a sleek, bouncy hairstyle that won't yellow with heat. I also put way more hair in each of my sections. It can handle a lot and still dry (suck) very well. For the tangles, turn down the suction just 1 or 2 numbers. There are some of us who love the Revair, but it would be great if it were way smaller and less pricey. Not sure if the heat from the Dyson would yellow silver or light hair. It might just be me and my opinion, but having the smoothing attachment on the dyson instead of just the “blow dryer” itself gave it an advantage in the comparison. I would have rather seen you do a comparison between the blow dryers without any special equipment. But as I said, I might be in the wrong here. Still a really good video, I do like that you have valid reasoning when speaking of pros and cons and can actually see the cons on even the best hair styling tools that you own :)
Simon Lönnqvist there’s no attachments which is a disadvantage in itself. No need to limit the dyson
Well the Dyson is both a drying AND styling tool where as the rev air is just a drying tool so I’m not surprised you got a more smoother and voluminous look with the Dyson
I have the revair hits exceptional on my hair drying and straightening if you want to hear my turtle head in 7 to 8 minutes completely dry. The instructions saying if your hair Tangles at the ends you need to take it down a level.
I think the revair side looks more sleek. The dyson leaves more flyaways to my mind. I think if you turn the suction up too high the ends of the hair get tangled with the revair.
Sooooo loud and large and inconvenient though!?
But there is no body at all to the hair. And who has room for that thing anyway? It seems like a major hassle to put together and to use.
@@Cloudburst2000 Exactly! I didn't see it as more sleek (thought the Dyson side gave a more polished look). The Revair just looks flat with fuzzy ends. The Dyson Airwrap side looks so much better to me.
The Revair seems like something that would've been innovative in 1950.
Revair is very good for type 4c hair because we won’t have to manipulate our hair too much with the brush but if you have straight hair you don’t really have to use it even though the heat quality is better for any hair type.
I wonder if the frizz on your ends is caused by your pulling it in and out of the suction dryer?
The thing is between this video and your first review, they are completely conflicting.
Herr you say "revair only does one thing and its not good at it" yet in the first video (were revair GIFTED you the tool) you actually said if you aren't traveling, you would choose revair over dyson.

I'm honestly confused how she went from absolutely loving the revair and recommending it in videos, to saying it makes her hair frizzy and how bad it is.
I have the revair and at first it worked amazing and made my hair shiny. But then it started to make it really frizzy too with less shine and so many tangles, it might be the product that doesn't work well over time as it causes a lot of friction in the tube and your hair is just flaying everywhere in there. Even when cleaning the filter which is really disappointing considering the price it's like what regret buying the most in my life even though I got it on sale and through points from my credit card. I wish I bought something else with those points. But worked well at some point idk and I have long curly thick hair if that helps

Because of Dyson. Any video where she compares to Dyson she almost always wants to praise Dyson even if something she contradicted before. I’m sure she got Dyson stuff for free so probably why…
I purchased the Dyson Air Wrap about 2 weeks ago and am VERY pleased with every function it offers. My hair feels healthy, full, and so soft for days after styling. I do sleep on a silk pillow case that I'm sure helps hold the curls or waves longer. I can get up and start my morning without bedhead! Thank you so much for your reviews as they helped me make the decision to "invest" in the Dyson Air Wrap tool. I also have the Revlon One-Step hairdryer and love it too. I noticed my hair feels dryer with the Revlon. I always use a heat styling product prior to using drying tools.

I think it just depends on how you want to do your hair. For a sleek look use the rev air and use it longer on a higher setting, and the Dyson is for a more volume 90s look. But I like both.
Any thoughts on the regular Dyson blow dryer? I’ve been contemplating it for a while now

Very expensive. I wonder could one get a similar straight effect using a clean vacuum cleaner hose. I feel an experiment coming on.
My vacuum tangled my hair I don’t think it helped dry it at all. Not that I was trying to experiment, my brother thought it would be funny and followed me around the house with the hose.
Hi beautiful😍Question my hair is very fine, thin &!dry. If I let air dry it’s frizzy, if I dry it wet it’s hard to get the roots dry, my ends dry & frizz & roots are still damp? This is using the Revlon Volumizer. Thanks💗

Could you please do a shark vs Dyson airwrap brush dryer review? I wanted to know which one had the least heat damage. Also wondering which one is easier to use.
Is it me or it's a bit unfair to compare the rev air that has no brush to to straighten, separate or untangle the hair against the Dyson which has an attachment to creat tension, separate the strands and comb them at the same time whereas the other one is just sucking.
Your videos are so honest and helpful! Would love it if you rate the SHARK blowdryer. I keep seeing ads for it JUST as I had made up my mind to get a Dyson. Ughghg.

I tested the Revlon one stop styler thingy and after 3 weeks of using it my hair was broke, singed, very damaged, so much that my hairdresser grilled me!! I've been considering the Dyson if I save up as I really struggle with doing my hair due to a health condition and my joints dislocate. Maybe I need to go back to the drawing board...
I actually use both. I give my hair a rough dry with the dyson and itll take about 3 minutes to get my hair to 80-90% dry. Then I’ll use my revlon on LOW with a heat protectant. Takes me less than 10 minutes in total and it looks like a professional blow out at the end. Plus much less damage!
The Dyson side looks a little frizzier on the ends in the front.

I have a product that does essentially what this dyson does except the end looks like a round brush instead of a flat brush. Warm air blows out and through the bristles. I got it in the 80s I think (for probably around $20) and still have it lol. I have used it a lot over the decades. I like to use it on my hair when it is completely dry though so it smooths out my hair and gives it volume...like a blow out with a round brush would I guess.

Love my RevAir! I'm surprised by this video- the RevAir is so much less heat- if you're sweating, that's from the way you really had to work the Dyson blow brush. The RevAir is so easy- you didn't have to pump it, should have just held it and then the roots would dry and there'd be no flyaways

You tested the Hot Tools One Step a few weeks ago...I think that did a better job than either of these 2. Even better than the Dyson. Granted, we can feel what your hair is like. But based on appearance, Hot Tools is winner to me!

Yes but the Revair appears to be a more protective tool so you not going to have it drying out your hair so quickly. I don't know but I find she is a bit bias, especially comparing a brush with the Revair, why didn't she compare it with the Dyson blow dryer, it doesn't have a good review on Amazon

It seems like you're letting the side with the dyson nearly dry out before you get to it. It doesn't really come off as a fair comparison.

Honey, I wonder if it's tangling because you're using it wrong. You're not supposed to keep sliding your hair in and out of it. The Revair seems like it's more for straightening curly hair. The Dyson definitely looked better on you.

Wow what a difference in your attitude towards it. When you used I. On yourself and your family you were 100% satisfied and never said anything about it hurting your arm.
You aren’t suppose to “pump” with the rev air, or your hair will tangle and frizz. Put hair in and put to your scalp and leave it. You were using it in a pumping motion moving it up and down the hair.
