Thank you for posting your recipe videos! I watched your crockpot turkey video last year and cooked the turkey exactly to your method and instructions. I will admit that I was a bit skeptical about the entire process. It was the best turkey I have ever made. It was so moist, flavorful and cooked perfectly. I am back rewatching your video to make sure I follow your magic again for this year’s Thanksgiving turkey! Seasons greetings from Pennsylvania!
This is actually the ONLY way I cook my Thanksgiving turkey now!! SO juicy and flavorful - and there are virtually NO parts of the bird that get overcooked and dry! I just put it under my broiler for a few minutes when its done to crisp up the skin (totally optional) - DELICIOUS! Thank you so much for sharing I love your channel !!
Once the Turkey is done, take it out and drizzle a little butter (I like to add some dry Rosemary and Thyme) then place it in the oven @ 375 for 2-3 minutes to get that crispy skin
Why are you always here for me. I literally didn’t want to cook in the oven tonight and looked for a video and you popped up. Should’ve known! I’ve been subscribed to you for many years and you always come through with my cooking ideas! Thank you! Blessings to your 2023!
Simple and easy for a beginner or someone limited in cooking space. I have done this in the past and it works great. This year my daughter is going to smoke our turkey in her new smoker; therefore no problem having oven space. Thank you for posting!
Cool the Broth left in crockpot and freeze it if your not using for gravy right away....better than store bought chicken broth....If I dont use all of it for gravy , I add veggies to it and make a stew with left overs and toss them into pie shells for pot pies, and you can freeze them too if needed.
I e never even thought about this before. I am sure it is fantastic. Especially with your prep of the bird. The juices will make an awesome gravy especially if you have started a broth with the neck. Thank you for sharing and God bless all here.
I just put mine in the crockpot on high, first time. Super excited. I just rubbed w/ butter, traditional seasonings n a hand delivered Japanese sea salt from my neighbor, Ms. Jean who recently passed in July ‘23. I cut up some green apples & scallions, tossed them all around n in cavity. Covered it in foil n licked the top! Can’t wait to see how it turned out!🙏🏽🦃🧡 May y’all have a very blessed day!
I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your recipes. I love watching your videos. You present your videos with such support and make it so comfortable for anyone who wants to cook something they have never cooked before. You are amazing!
WOW! I have never heard of a Crock Pot Turkey, I normally cook my in the oven, But Hey Thx for the new idea must try. I hope you and your family enjoy your turkey, God 💕🙏 Bless
I saw this on Whippoorwill Holler too,. She did a whole breast, breast down in the crockpot. It’s simply an easy way to cook it and sure frees up oven space. Foolproof. Thank you
Hi A!!! Never tried a Turkey or Whole Checken in the CP. Yes it would save up alot of space in your over for the Hoilday dinner. Looks good to me. Great video!!!...
I can honestly say I have never heard of a Crock-Pot turkey but I think if I did it this way I would like mine still a nice golden brown on the top.👌🏼🍷💯‼️🥰😉 and this is something you don't have to wait for Thanksgiving. Very simple and delightful I like the new crock pot liners so you don't have a lot to have to clean up
What a a lovely method 😍 😊 I love Turkey so much that I always cut up all the parts and marinate them before grilling in the oven..😍I am not so keen on having the whole bird on the tray 😀..Good Job Mummy 🥰👍
I love your channel very much! I want to complement you on your journey so much! I read your basic story on google & learned about your beautiful family. Wow! What an Amazing mix of Culture Mexican/Korean! I'm Hispanic & Persian so your recipes always interest me! You are a wonderful teacher! God Bless you & your beautiful family...Namaste Sis 🙏🌸🙋♀️🦋🌸🌹💞
This so convenient, cause I don’t have a double oven. I’m trying this method that way I can have my turkey in the oven and turkey in the crockpot. By the way your turkey looks delicious.
I am so glad that I came across your video when it comes to cooking a turkey in the Crock-Pot, I'm definitely going to try this cooking in the Crock-Pot.😊😊😊 You have a new subscription.
My aunt was from El Salvador and for Thanksgiving she'd boil the whole turkey in a huge tamale pot with some kinda sauce... Maybe enchilada or El Pato sauce. Have you heard of this before? She'd serve the meat in a bolillo with the sauce and watercress. I've never had watercress in anything else except Bahn Mi
I had a neighbour of mine who was Uzbek and she used butter and oil BUT she always used mayo first. Isn't that weird? I never asked her if she did that in her country or if she started that here but OMG, the meat was like butter!
Yeah, thanks for your video on this Slow Cooker Turkey.. Seems you've covered most all the Detail *Except* *How Long Did You Cook in Crock Pot* ? How Many Hours? Im asking because I plan to cook a 9LB Turkey (Butterball) tomorrow .. We're gonna try your recipe rub down, but (How Many Hours)? :)

If you rewatch the video the timestamp is 05:27 is where the cook time is. For a 10 lb completely thawed and cool to room temp raw turkey, it takes about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs on high. If you start with a really cold raw turkey, the cook time could be longer. 😊
I will definitely do this. It just looks so good and moist. Your recipes are always so great. I turn to your videos for almost everything. I can’t wait to make the corn casserole.

How long do you cook it for?
Does it take 2 1/2 or 3 hours?
@@shirala1972 It depends on the size of the turkey
@@cindyg.2418 6-8 hours …
Can I pull the crockpot out from it's cooking base and put it in the oven broiler for browning and crisp

Someone Who Totally Knows The Nuances Of Cooking!!!
The best turkey I have ever eaten was a fried turkey. The second best was cooked in a crockpot. Thanks for sharing!
Maybe a layer of carrot, celery, onion to make a nest for the bird! I love turkey!
Yea , if you want mush with grease on the bottom
That's an excellent suggestion. The broth will have delicious flavor. The broth can be strained to use for gravy.
I am definitely going to do a turkey like this: no extra room in the oven and it looks so juicy ❤
Your crockpot turkey looks heavenly.thank you for sharing 😋🤗 hv a great day family 💕🥰

Can you do a bone in turkey breast the same way? This kind of reminds me of how I make pernil in the crockpot, without the overnight marinade.
Thanks for sharing this 👍🏼💜
This so convenient, cause I don’t have a double oven. I’m trying this method that way I can have my turkey in the oven and turkey in the crockpot. By the way your turkey looks delicious.
Awesome! Plus the juices for the gravy. Yum!
Mine is defrosting now and in the crockpot it goes soon, can’t wait 🤠
I had no idea my dear! I’m having Turkey after all! THANK YOU SIS!!

Looks amazing, thank you.
The best recipe I have seen. Thanks!
You are so artistic
Can I do this with the turkey breast? I love this idea & thanks for sharing.
Looks amazing! Need to give it a try.
I just was looking for this! Everywhere
Doing this tomorrow. Thanks for the tips!
Did you add any water or broth to the crock pot or was the turkey the only thing that made the juices?
I needed this! Thank you!
YUMMY TURKEY SIMPLY MAMA COOKS
Salt pepper and butter. I stuff the bird so those seasonings also flavor the bird and the gravy.
Looks good
I have found that if you put tinfoil over it then put lid on it hurts with browning . I cook breads in mine and that helps it the top
Thanks for the video... Can't wait 2 try it.

I’d love to know more about this as my mom is from El Salvador . Sounds like something my grandma would’ve done…😀
sounds killer 👍
Pan con pavo!! I don't know how they cook it, I'm not Salvadoran, but I have eaten it and it's delicious!
@@caligirllala1267 I found the recipe on TH-cam.
th-cam.com/video/FzC4RPGB3hs/w-d-xo.html
Looks fabulous. Just an idea. We could add ghee instead of butter
I did that a couple times. So yummy and juicie
Thanks gorgeous! I’m doing that this year for Xmas
You're turkey went in so cute but came out so beautiful 🥲
How long did you cook it & did you leave it on high the whole time?
To defrost, 1 day for each 5 pounds of turkey, in the fridge.
Finding a 10# turkey is the trick for a slow cooker.
A roaster oven works well too.
Good idea,I would finish it off in the oven, just to get some color.
I had a neighbour of mine who was Uzbek and she used butter and oil BUT she always used mayo first. Isn't that weird? I never asked her if she did that in her country or if she started that here but OMG, the meat was like butter!
Does anyone know how long the turkey cooks in the crockpot?? Happy thanksgiving!!!
Thank you God!!!!
I'm thinking about trying this recipe. So, how long was the cooking time for the turkey?
Two and a half to three hours on high setting is what I saw in the video. Good luck - it looks amazing and so simple.
i have a 6qt crockpot...can i cut up turkey and put in crock overnight on low ?
can i also use a crock liner for my turkey
will do this then throw in my air fryer oven, thanks a ton
Great video. Thanks
Do you recommend a brine or how would you brine your turkey. Looks great btw.❤
Do yo put water in the bottom of the slow cooker?
Excellent 🦃
Thank you
I want to try this but it's almost impossible to find a small turkey where I shop. Maybe I'll just try parts.
Good job
Yeah, thanks for your video on this Slow Cooker Turkey..
Seems you've covered most all the Detail *Except*

Do you need to add liquids to the crockpot at all?
I will definitely do this. It just looks so good and moist. Your recipes are always so great. I turn to your videos for almost everything. I can’t wait to make the corn casserole.
