This is a classic recipe for cooking a holiday ham even our grandmother mastered years ago. I would do everything you have done here except cut the brown sugar to one cup and the honey to 6oz. I think the pineapple slices and cherries help with enough sweetness to the ham. Thank you for reminding us of a yummy ham recipe we can share with our families!

I am hosting for both Thanksgiving and Christmas this year so I appreciate this recipe. I have already ordered my turkey and it will be in my freezer this week ready for Thanksgiving. I remember when my Grandma's family made ham like this years ago but in the oven, I have never dared for the fear of drying it out. I am so happy to have found this recipe for the crockpot!

Already we have thins in common when cooking ham. I always stud the ham with whole cloves, but bake it in the oven with a lid on…..softens the smoked covering. I also add veggies to the bottom and add some ginger ale. Very yummy. Love your videos. Thanks.

Cooking Thanksgiving for 10 people and ham with pineapple and glaze has been requested so I am going to try this. The notion of putting this in a crockpot and not having to tend it and freeing up the oven is very appealing. Looks absolutely delicious.

In my huge countertop roaster I put a ham in a disposable aluminum half tray and boneless turkey breast in plastic oven bag in the other half tray. My family doesn't eat the dark meat turkey so, I haven't cooked a whole turkey in years. Keeps my oven free for baking other items. Depending on how much turkey breast or ham I have in the roaster they pretty much finish cooking/resting around the same time.

Same as me! The spiral cut hams are a huge mistake IMO. The problem I have is finding a Ham that FITS in my crock pot. Most are too tall and the lid won't fit over it.

Been doing this last 6-7 years ever since seeing it done like this!! It’s sooo delicious and makes quite a beautiful presentation!! I use the spiral bone in one and season each slice also best I can. Next time, God willing will do the ham you did, not spiral. I do it in crockpot aswell and cook turkey in big electric roasting pan, so my oven is free for cooking the casseroles .
In ontario Canada we had our thanksgiving in October was a hit once again! Thankyou !!!

Yo G, for real… I am going to request that I make the ham this year for Christmas, since we always have a big ham for Christmas. Because that looks easy to follow, and more delicious looking than what we’ve had in recent years. Also gives me a chance to break out dad’s old crockpot😢. Can you reduce The broth left in the crockpot into like more of a gravy consistency?. Because that would be off the chain! Love you, B ❤🎉❤

I buy a huge ham & cut it. I use the one with the bone side for fried eggs, omlets, ham salad and to flavor soup beans, well all beans really. I don't like the sweet ham for breakfast but we eat the heck out of the sweet one for sandwiches, HLT's better than BLT's!

    •  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

If cooking in the slow cooker on high, probably 4 1/2 to 5 hours. Ultimately the internal temp should reach 145 degrees F, so be sure to check that above all else. 😊
