    Hey Aaron, Greetings from Melbourne! I came across your channel about a month ago when I was searching for a 'perfect' backpack. I have seen many backpack reviews, but I must say that the way you and Nomads Nation deliver the contents is impressive, structured, clear, engaging, no-nonsense, friendly and somewhat familiar and relates to us - the standard world dwellers who constantly looking for something more and aspire to be a better somebody else. Btw, I've been looking for a dual or multi-carry 16L to 20L day work pack, which I can wear with a suit and casual equally. I like the standard minimalist slim slightly rectangular look, old-school flap and magnetic latches like the BS Errant, but like you, I'm not much of a camera guy. And, the rolltop is a nice look, but cumbersome. Built-in organisation pockets will help. The material ideally needs to be natural and eco-friendly, like cotton, sailcloth or x-pac type fabric. And, it needs to be lightweight. I've tried Boundary Supply, QWSTION, Arc'teryx, Waterfield, Bellroy, but none seems to be quite the right one - each one is missing one or more elements. All of these criteria have been a challenge for me, but might not be the case for you and the Nomads Nation in your passion searching for a perfect backpack. Much appreciate it if you can recommend some options. Cheers

      Have just watched (again) your review on Able Carry Thirteen.
      Great review, and the bag is very similar to my Granville 16L. Good size, love the material, angled zip pocket and internal water bottle too.
      I also like the flap action and locking mechanism of dayfarer backpack (Fidlock) or life behind bars breakaway (cobra buckle).
      Perhaps the hybrid between these bags would be the ideal solution.
      I'll keep watching the space...and your reviews too!

    I got this and returned it. The top handle was super uncomfortable to hold. Plus the top handle was so short that I scraped my knuckles every time I grabbed it. Lastly, it was so stiff and the openings were too small.

    I was very disappointed receiving mine and returned it a couple days later. The front pocket is way too small, the top doesn‘t open wide enough and I just couldn‘t organize properly with the provided dividers. Yes it looks really nice, but that‘s it. Form over function.

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      cant argue with that. Some people adore this thing but for me I do think it lacks a bit too much functionality

  • @cal7447
    @cal7447 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    For me, the fact that we can't shoulder-carry the bag kind of defeats the whole purpose of a tote, basically leaving this as a fancy but not-so-comfortable backpack (which is a valid premise in itself too, ofc). It's a bit of a shame they didn't integrate a way to maybe use the extra carry straps (that it already includes, but which I doubt many would actually use) as shoulder carry straps in tote-mode.
    If it sounds like I'm complaining, it's just that I was really tempted by this... As it stands rn, it's kind of an awkward use case that I can't really justify a purchase for.

    • @cal7447
      @cal7447 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually, the more I look at it, the more I think it might be possible to hook the extra straps onto just the top two attachment loops and create a shoulder strap that way. Now I'm tempted to give it a go again…

    Hi there Aaron, Greeting from Singapore. I've been doing some research for the best totepack which suit me thus came across your channel. Must say that the way you and Nomads Nation has delivered the contents were impressive, structured, clear, engaging, doesn't beat around the bushes, and friendly.
    The 2 bags that gave me the best impression are "Peak Design, Everyday Tote Pack" which I like that it was sleek, simple and able to conceal everything when is a tote bag & "Wandrd ALL-NEW PRVKE" has the back support, able to open wide on the middle of the bag and there quite a few small compartments but I do not like the part where its not scratch proof. So I wanted a bag which I able to put a file, a set of clothings, wallet, wireless earphone, and some other small items at the same time look great and sexy. Do you have any recommendation?

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks for the kind words. While the Peak Design Tote Pack is GORGEOUS, it has a lot of functionality problems, and can't fit a lot of gear. It should be able to fit your load, but it's hard to know for sure. For that reason I'd recommend going with the PRVKE out of the two.

    It appears that if you carry it as a tote, there are no shoulder straps. That could be a deal breaker for many who want a convertible backpack tote.

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does though 🤔

    • @barbarajloriordan2697
      @barbarajloriordan2697 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Nomads.Nation!! Maybe I am missing something. It looks like the tote handles are only for hand carry. Many convertible totes also have an arrangement for longer, shoulder-length carrying strap. Usually, you can unhook one of the backpack straps and then hook it into a different ring so that you have a shoulder-bag arrangement. It is really handy.
      On this bag, though, you could just stow one strap and carry as a sling when you want a shoulder type of bag.

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@barbarajloriordan2697 ahhh my bad! Totally get your question now. No - there is no shoulder-tote-strap on this bag. Just the hand-tote-handles, and the 2 backpack shoulder straps. You could do your suggestion, but it would be a bit off balance - sling straps are usually positioned differently to give you more balance

  • @meryshelley1

    this is amazing but scary at the same time.. imagine anyone tripping with your bag's side access while walking and your camera gear falls off.. yeah there's a way to secure the zipper but that definitely destroys the purpose of having easy access..(maybe put a small carabiner in the g-hook and attach it to the zipper to make it a bit easier to lock and unlock)
