Captain Dave, I found your channel looking for info on fishing San Diego. You provide the best stuff out there. I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico and trailer my boat out for a few days of fishing. I took it to Catalina two years ago to go hooping. Yes, I made the black PVC bait tubes like the ones you showed on your channel. As a first timer we caught 15! I've been a following ever since. Sorry Just subscribed now. Just made a bait tank (a round one) for an upcoming trip to Coronado Islands. We are planning on the 20th-24th of March. Weather permitting we will stick to the plan. Going to subscribe to your web page for some assistance when the time comes. Keep up the good work!
I like to fish at night, especially around the full moon. It causes big tides with fast water and if you know where to go you can catch a lot of fish at night. Especially snook, but trout and redfish too. Offshore I remember catching snapper at night during the full moon.
Cool, next trip is four days after the full just by chance. I didn't even remember to consider the moon when I scheduled. It'll do. Thanks Captain Dave & cat.
Thanks Capt D, this helps when your trying to schedule trips months in advance. Helps when a planning. Thanks for the info.
My pleasure

sweeet
Major factor is bait that are spread out due to the moon light. I always try to follow your idea . Thanks
Thanks
My wife is an astronomy student and always does the moon phase fish report monthly for me.
Hell I need her to help me
I found great freshwater fishing on the full moon as predatory fish use it to hunt small fish in the shallows.
Sounds great!
What about times of moon rise and moon set? Sometimes the full moon sets at sunset too.
yes it all matters
Just schedule a trip on Thunderbird departing Wednesday night hope the three days off full moon dont have a bad effect😢 let you know how it goes
those guys are super unprofessional

Great video, great cat. I hope you feed him plenty of the fish that you catch.
we doo he eats good
I don’t think it has nothing to do with it being cloudy and the fish seeing the moon. Pretty sure it has to do with barometric more.
yes yes
