Honestly, Psycho-Powerless Bison sounds like he could've been really interesting, but Woolie is absolutely right that Bison players losing functions they expect would've been a bad call. You don't wanna piss off the EXACT people who most want the character.
Thats when you make a different character with somewhat same function like shingo and dan/sean without making the kyo n shotoboys very upset because they can easily wave it off as not their main cuz theyre not kyo or ryu/ken.
I do actually agree with Woolie about Bison, but I get it, that's just not where the money mindset is. That, and if Bison coming back is the price I have to pay to get Terry, I will gladly pay it.

Like, I am happy for the Bison fans, but having just 0 weight for your story kind of sucks man. Ah well, I'll get over it as soon as Terry releases and asks all of us if we are okay! 😂
Nah we're definetly getting a custom intro. With the significance of finally having a third party guest character like Terry, why not use it as an opportunity to reference an iconic interaction. Also i can understand woolies point of wanting the roster to be fresh and new but the more people have their mains, the more they'll be willing to try out other characters since they have something to fall back on if it doesnt work out. Atleast thats what i think.
At 11:55 you can see what looks like him suppressing the arm with the blue fire, but then psycho power overpowers it and the scars start glowing. Again at 13:58 you can see his arm flare up with psycho power and the scars light up again before he seems to successfully suppress it with the blue stuff. You can hear him say "show me your worth, I will tame you in due time". Might just be him taunting his opponent, or might be the remnant of old Bison talking to the host body.

Like I much would have preferred a Reina Mishima, or like “Memory/Ghost of Bison” haunting people’s dreams or something.
Reggie wants that Bison from the end of the SF2 animated movie where he takes on Ryu and Ken without using any of his powers.. Bison's the one character you can excuse always coming back since it was built into the character back in the Alpha days, but I get wanting to see him changed up a bit to feel fresh.
I can't believe they turned M. Bison into Raoh Hokuto No Fist of the Ken Star and also Master Asia G Gundam Real talk, Bison was the best he has ever been in V and I am really glad to see that they are carrying that iteration of him forward. I wish they would give him the V-Trigger teleport but it was so god damn strong that I can understand why it's not there. V Trigger head stomps were instant teleport moves that placed you immediately above the enemies head and was insanely fast, this version is childs play in comparison.
I am also a bit disappointed that Bison is back. I think if you really want a fighting style back, then it's fine to give it to a character. you just have to be careful about their design. Bison himself in terms of his character is actually SUPER boring, and the world gets a lot better without him in terms of interest.
I don't have a problem with Bison returning, but I DO think it's absurd how quickly they brought him back. He's obviously an iconic character, but were people really clamoring for him so hard that they just HAD to get him back in? I seriously doubt it. This game already had a Bison in the form of JP, but instead of trying to develop him AT ALL (seriously, he's borderline NECALI levels of pointless at this point), they just revived the big bad with no time to breathe. Maybe it was too far-fetched to expect them to skip a whole game, but I feel like he could have at least been the last DLC character or something. Doing it now just seems to have taken away any impact the big return might have had.
he just recently voiced Johnny too, but apparently he's also pushing 80. I can imagine he'd be doing this for as long as he can, but I also never hear the "scheduling conflict" excuse I hear in the west from Japanese voice actors, they just get it all done.
For better or worse, Street Fighter 6 has opened the floodgates for more crossovers. I'm not against guests (Terry's great and Mai is cool too) but I'm worried about how at the end of the game's life how many characters would be guests. There's already so many characters who haven't been around for a game or two but with guests "competing" for those slots....Hakan's already got enough barriers to entry as it is!
I have no idea why SF doesn't do custom intros. It's not like it's difficult, or take up a massive amount of time/resources. it's not as simple as flicking a switch, but it's not like it's a big deal. Do a bit of animating, new voice lines, voila. Hell, I'd be happy if they just did unique voice lines, but keep the current animations.
What makes it so maddening is that the game has so much heart everywhere else, with the create a chaaracter, the story mode, the prematch expressions and how expressive the characters are during certain Lvl 3s and CAs. It's one of the few gripes I have with the game. I'm not even sure what their logic is behind not doing it.
Completely random but: Why does Capcom seem to not like Guy? This is the third game with a non-Guy Bushinryu character. Or I guess maybe they really like the idea of Bushinryu since we've got Kimberly, Zeku, Maki, and Guy. Will we get multiple Bushinryu reps in a game for the first time since A3M?

I heard recently that Ryu's nothingness hadouken did not kill M. Bison. That his is the same body he was in with Street Fighter V. Remember his body was cracking from the Hadouken be we never see him die. All the scars on his body are where his body cracked.

Excellent point about Iori. For me and the story lore, it made a hell of sense, and surprisingly, it worked. Of course, I had to make some adjustments with certain move sets but it almost was seamless once I got used to him.
Man, them talking about the lack of special intros especially, makes me so upset. But at the very least it lives on through some smaller and lesser known fighting games.
